Liked the Place. We were out at night and wanted a plated meal and was delighted to find that Po-Boys was still open and serving. Peoria does not have a true Cajun restaurant and I have been wanting to try it for a while. We had Toni (?) as a waitress and she was phenomenal . Atmosphere was great too - very comfortable. We could have just sat and watched the game with no food.. We really wanted to try New Orleans food and ordered a lot - a bit of everything - gumbo, Jumbalaya, Seafood, etc. The food was definitely Cajun Inspired albeit milder than true Cajun. It was still very good. Well presented and freshly prepared and the sauces were unique. We will come back and we know our kids would definitely love the Catfish fingers.

Ordered the seafood platter. The fries were over cooked as was the shrimp. The catfish was good. The calamari was good but tough.

I got the Cajun Pizza,Gator Bites, CatFish Fries and the Root Beer Pulled Chicken. First the Cajun Pizza, it was bland in my opinion except for the Alfredo sauce. I could barley taste the Shrimp and Sausage. The crust was thin and crispy which is great. Jus need some more seasoning to the sauce and a little more toppings then it will be perfect 7/10. 2nd the Po Boy was delicious!! The bread was nice and soft and flavorful, the chicken was cooked to perfection. The veggies on it were fresh. The sauce was delicious, I couldn't taste root beer flavor at all just Bbq. But overall a great BBQ sauce. 8.5/10 Third and Fourth the Gator Bites and Catfish Fries were good I liked the batter they had on it. Jus needs more seasoning and it was a little greasy. Both 8/10. The pepper Jam was amazing so delicious. It was like a sweet cocktail chilli sauce ?. The tatar Sauce and ranch was delicious as well. Sauce game 10/10. Much love to the Chefs/Cooks in the back. Shout out to my server Brooke she was awesome, she was very nice!! Price game 7.5/10. I will come back again. Po Boys 8/10. I recorded my 2nd video there. Thank you for letting me record Po Boys. The video should be up by May or June at Chef King Curry on all platforms.I will come back for the 2nd part. I want to try the Blacksmith pasta, Crab Cakes and Shrimp Po Boy.

Jambalaya was bland; no Cajun flavor whatsoever. Sausage had zero bite like andouille should. Gator bites were a little chewy. The onion straws had mild bite to them. Maybe I'm biased since I've had jambalaya from down south. Unfortunately I'll probably not return to try something else.

Visited Po Boys Friday night for dinner… Lottie took great care of us and even recommended a grilled tenderloin which was amazing! The rest of the table has jambalaya which was a huge hit. Overall, incredible service (thanks, Lottie!) and a delicious meal. Can’t wait to go back.

Ok today's adventure was to PO-Boys in Peoria IL. Originally I was planning on Sweetwater Kitchen and Cafe but the weather made me think shorter drive. We have been here before and enjoyed their food, but it has probably been 3 years since less visit. Another person in the group listed their tenderloin on their top 10, so I decided to check it out today. Start with the pluses... Great Beer selections! If you like Cajun food/ seasoning, this is your place! I will suggest not getting the tenderloin. It is new item for them and as a person who tries them often still room to improve.Started with the Creole Shrimp Deviled Eggs with Bacon, okay but at the end the spices hit you! YUMMy husband had the Cajun Pizza. It was good he said.Pre made crust with toppings thrown on top and baked. The crust could have been a little crisper. Just an extra 3-4 minutes would have made it great. So now for the Tenderloin... in the menu it said it comes with an Apricot Mustard spread, hey can I get that on the side? YES So 20 minutes later we get deviled eggs. 40 minutes later get our food. So I have this annoying habit of rebuilding my sandwiches as I like them. Find a burnt bottom bun, no apricot mustard on the side, and it also comes with pickled onions. Nope just a thick cut of red onion. The Tenderlion is a butterfly porkchop that was run through a tenderize. The breading was just barely holding onto the meat. Kettle Chips as the side. Some were crispy and some you got the soggy part of chips. I did ask for a second bun hoping not to be burnt, but it came out okay but soggy/ damp. I even had the bartender / Manager feel it to know what I was saying! The manager/ bartender made the mistake of asking how is everything? ? Got a earful, but he did take Tenderloin off our bill. He said this was not normal, but it is a new item for them.So if you go here ...stick to the PO BOY sandwiches and anything else Cajun. Those are GOOD EATS!!!

It is kinda hidden if you don't know where you are going, but right off War Memorial, The inside give you a real New Orleans vibe. Food is good. The bartender has been there for a long time. They have the best hurricane outside of New Orleans.

Second trip here was definitely busier with Fat Tuesday coming up. I ended up getting the crab dip and chips with a honey mustard chicken slider. We also tried the beignets for dessert. The beignets were a little tough...couldn't cut into them and had a hard time biting into them...and of course we were covered in powdered sugar by the end of it. But that cinnamon butter was amazing.

Being from New Orleans, their Gumbo is NOT Gumbo, it is not tomato sauce w/ hot spice, sausage, chicken & rice. What they gave me was okay, but it's DEF NOT Gumbo and same for their Po'Boy sandwiches, just saying.

I have been there for the past 2 "Fat Tuesday" and have really enjoyed both visits. Last year was much more crowded and lively as I was lucky to get a seat at the bar after a bit of a wait. This year I came with friends much earlier to get a table. The crowd was quiet to begin with but as more folks came in I expect it was going to be a party. That all said I absolutely love their shrimp Po'boy cajun style. And their drinks are some of the best in the city, I suggest the Pat O'Brian hurricane or my favorite the sazerac. The biegnets are light and delicious and this year they added a kings cake which was tasty also. There are many delicious things to choose on their menu so do yourself a favor and take a quick trip to Louisiana via Po'Boys in Peoria.
