Put in an online order. Sonic was not unusually busy. After waiting over 30 minutes after checking into the stall, we went through the drive thru and were told they were short staffed and hadn't even started making the order. Took about 50 minutes total.

2 TERRIBLE experiences at Sonic located at 4305 North Sterling in Peoria IL. 6 months ago we went through the drive thru ordering 2 chili dogs and fries ($45 bucks!) After waiting 20 minutes we buzzed the intercom to ask about our order. Was told that it was coming out. Another 20 minutes later, they brought out the wrong order. We sent it back and waited ANOTHER 10 minutes. I went to the kitchen door only to find ALL visible staff eating the wrong order while joking and laughing at the whole incident. Called corporate. Got a half-hearted apology.
Today, we thought we'd give them another chance. I ordered the double bacon "smash" burger with extra pickle, extra onion and smash sauce on the side. I got a double bacon burger (no "smash") with NO pickle, NO onion and a sauce that was actually mayonnaise SLATHERED all over it. I also ordered the chili cheese tots which were just gross! Done with Sonic! You have gone sooooo downhill!!!

I like their food but, they need to reevaluate something at this establishment, i don’t know if it’s the people they hire or something else but they are extremely slow to give you your food. They consistently take 15 minutes to get you what you paid for.

The food is kids size even if you order a medium & they charged me $17 for a slushy, small mozzarella sticks & small 3 pcs chicken crips. Never in my life will I ever stop & get food from sonic again. Oh the mozzarella sticks had to flavor at all.

For the third time in a row, I place an order online to try to save time and sit in the drive thru for 10+ mins with zero acknowledgement, when I finally give up and just go to the window, food is immediately handed to me and cold from sitting for so long. Not sure why I insist on punishing myself by continuing to order food here.
Been there twice in the past month. Both times had issues. No fork. No straws. Missing food. No napkins. It's always something at this location.

Don't go late at night, 9pm-ish, they make the fries overcooked and greasy than a mofo, tots were bangin', burger was poorly made, still ate though, first time trying the place. I got the 2 triple smashers w/ fries and tots ? I don't know about trying other things anytime soon or that place in particular.
