what a fabulous secret tucked into the Westclox building in Peru Il. The drinks are amazing ! Bartenders are truly drink artist at this establishment! The atmosphere and history is really neat and the Spirits they maje are fantastic - Try the absinth - it's an experience would recommend

Peeked our heads in right as they opened at 1:00 p.m. We were passing through the area and grabbed lunch next door, but wanted to scope this distillery out for the future. Bob was super nice and gave us all the info, from live music to the different bottles they sell, etc. Wish we weren't driving so we could have had a couple cocktails, but we did grab a four pack of mini bottles to sample at home. We are often in the area to hike at starved rock - we will definitely be back to check this place out and have a few drinks!

We met Jeff Yosowitz at the Galena Whiskey Weekend and he introduced us to Star Union Spirits. We enjoyed talking to him and learned so much about a Star Union which is only an hour from our hometown. He also shared that he was going to be showcasing Star Union Spirits at a local HyVee the following week, so we decided to stop by there an learn even more about the distillery. Jeff is so personable and was willing to take the time to educate us and invite us up to Peru to tour Star Union Spirits. They have great tasting spirits and a very personable owner! Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Amazing little find! My husband and I love trying new beers and whiskey, this place did not disappoint. We tried a neat pour of the Navy Rum and American Whiskey first, then had old fashioneds of each, both were fantastic. You can tell a great deal of care goes into their craft cocktails from their housemade syrups and mixes to their nicely balanced spirits. The only thing I regret is not buying a bottle to bring home. Definitely will be coming back!

I am rating Star Union Spirits five stars because it won't let me go higher. They made our friend Justin's 21st birthday such a special occasion that he broke down in tears! Everyone there is fantastic!! Just go, just go there. You'll love everything you get. I highly recommend the absinthe experience! Thank you Kiernan much love to you and the boys!

Exceptional drinks in an incredible space where you can see where the spirits are made. Add in phenomenal music what else could you ask for. If you are in the area (we came from Chicago), you must have a four titans and enjoy the rest of your night.

They were personable, welcoming, and overall seemed like they love their job. Had fun tasting and getting a behind the scenes experience. 10/5 stars if I could, will definitely take the 6 hour trip to visit again at some point!

My friends and I went on a tour of Star Union Spirits and had an excellent time. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. While the distillery is small, there is a section dedicated to local history which complemented the tour and made it even better. We got to taste many different spirits and definitely got our money's worth. Fun fact: due to Illinois liquors laws, they have to make all their own spirited mixers, e.g. bitters, flavored liqueurs, etc. So all cocktails are completely made in-house. I look forward to going back for drinks soon!
