“A nightclub in the middle of Harvey. And...it...was....bumpin!!!! On a Thursday!!! Just wow!!! The bar inside is fairly small but well appointed. Since it s summer? They had 3 huge tents...and a great sou d system. It was not only loud? But clear. You could hear the music clearly and the lyrics were clearly discernable from several blocks out. Wow Smittys!!! You are winning!!!
The security was also excellent. With the sidewalks all blocked off......with horses and tape and rope. Done well. Bumpin in Harvey!!! If u want a black owned nightclub? With great music? Atmosphere? Vibe? With young AND grown people? You ve found it!!!!
I only gave the food the rating I did because I didn't have any. When I do? I ll add to the review.

“I absolutely love the vibe at Afro Joe's. The beverages & food are always amazing. I order online, grab it & go when I have to keep it moving. But when I have the opportunity to sit and chill, it's a whole vibe and I LOVE IT! Great job Aisha & Kendall Griffin!”

“My husband and I went for dinner in restaurant and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, and the best part was that the chef Sergio sent us a dessert he had created that day. “oh my goodness I found this pizza by chance at my local Meijer. Hands down best frozen pizza or any take and bake. The sausage was delightful and the Cheese was The Cheesiest ever it actually did the cheese stretch. Great Job it doesn't deserve the Bottom shelf”

“Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. Comfortable sitting, great comfortable noise level, not crowded sitting( we had a wheelchair), food excellent. Pork shoulder outstanding. No stickiness on anything. Best day/meal ever! Thank u Doug”

“I’m a cook, kudos to All out smoke Pit. The best rib tips , turkey tips and the balance of the food. Haven’t had Barbecue like this since Alice on 43rd between Wabash and Michigan Ave. Moreover Alice , there’s a new Queen and King of Barbecue. It’s the best! I have recommended their food to everyone I know. So far no disappointments!”

“Order was prepared very good employees greet you when you come in. I did a online order and got there a little early walked in to let them know that I was there early and they made it right away and that I really liked that I didn’t have to wait until my scheduled time”

“Finally made it out to Tea+Poke and I’m legit sad it took me that long to get there. The people are kind, the environment is welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. The pineapple passion fruit tea was the icing on the cake. I couldn’t decide what to get because TBH the entire menu looks delicious. Staff recommended the Korean Beef Short Rib bowl and an I added an orange chicken bowl as well. Both were winners. So much so, I’ll definitely be back to eat and drink my way through the menu. Highly recommend. 🥰”

Took a while to get the food which was understandable given that I was seated along with five other groups at the same time. The people here made sure everyone got what they wanted and checked in to make sure everything was going alright. I got the value slam and was pretty full off of just that.”
