We made reservations here for Christmas Eve dinner at 6pm. We arrived at 5:45 and were forced to wait outside in the cold for an hour because our table wasn’t ready yet. We eventually gave up and went somewhere else. Very poor management and communication. Many others were in the same boat and we were given no information as to why things were taking so long. My family and I were very disappointed that our Christmas Eve went so poorly.

Was there for a quick dinner tonight. Service great no complaints there. However, was looking for a salad and they didnt have one on the dinner menu. Strange but i Asked the waitress if i could do 2 side house salads (in a bowl) with chicken. Sure. The bill came it was $19.00. Side salad was $5 each. Charged me $9 for 5 strips of chicken… wild!
Calamari - was good but $22.00 for a handful is utterly ridiculous. Barrell and Vine is $4 less for more and better.
Wont be back here and we really liked the martinis we had in the summer too.

Absolutely horrible experience. Food was cold. Possibly under cooked. Heat was turned up so high it was uncomfortable. And I couldn't find anyone for a refill. Never again....

Scratch Italian kitchen with a true Italian owner who puts his love of food into his menu. Pasta, made in house!! Their homemade red pepper, tomato olive oil spread for the pre-dinner wait is addictive and best of all, on-the-house. I have to stop myself from just spooning it directly into my salivating mouth. Honestly, I have tried almost everything on their menu and have loved them all!! I bring family and friends here to impress and enjoy the attentive staff. The staff at this place are experienced, professional and accommodating. You can tell the staff are proud of the place they work at. The owner is so detailed oriented that he even stuffs his own blue cheese olives with high quality olives. So get a martini just to try their amazing stuffed olives!! Bonus: true craft Italian beer on draft!

I think the atmosphere is unique but I found the food rather over priced and i think i could make the same dish easily at home.. I had the lasagna.

Capri is a must-try restaurant in Plainfield! The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. We started with a drink at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Larry. He was incredibly efficient, managing a busy bar with ease. Larry mixed a perfect drink. He took the time to make every customer feel acknowledged and valued. His professionalism and skill truly enhanced our evening. I highly recommend seeking Larry when sitting at the bar. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Second time there. I loved it the first time. We both had shrimp and pasta. Plenty of huge shrimp. Pasta was good. Neither of us loved the marinara. Salt on the table would have helped.
