What a lovely find for 2 road weary travelers. We love to support local restaurants and this place was a locals favorite and we now know why. Hanna our server took great care of us. The chef prepared my pork ribeye & my husband’s ribeye sandwich to perfection!! Melt in your mouth. The salad bar was simple and delicious! They pay attention to the important details. Their staff worked as a well oiled machine, yet were kind and friendly. We suggest you don’t miss this place!!...
Local diner is located right off the highway, so the location is very convenient for travelers like my wife and I. It appears that a lot of the locals frequent this place. A table was open, so we sat ourselves. Food choices are what you would expect from a Midwest diner with daily specials. They had a Thursday country fried steak special, so I tried that. A friend and I were coming back from a business trip to Staunton, it was early in the afternoon past the normal lunch crowd.\nIt was our first time there, it is a really nice restaurant. The staff was great, the food delicious and the cost reasonable.\nGive these folks a try, you’ll be glad you did
