“Stopped in for a quick bite on our road trip. I had the loaded cheese fries and broccoli cheese soup. I love that the fries were fresh cut and not frozen fries. The broccoli cheese soup was really good as well.”

The owner holds many events for his customers throughout the year, helps out with the community with charities and host a lot of parties for many locals. The bar is well known for the Famous country singer Gretchen Wilson. The cute little bar is a local favorite! They have weekly specials and always have some tasty wings!”

“On our way home to Missouri from Eastern Illinois we stopped in this quaint little town and visited some antique shops before stopping at the Sweet Shop and Mercantile. I bought a cheese danish. It was without a doubt the best sweet roll I have tasted. Be sure to visit this charming little shop and buy some delicious pastries. Your taste buds will thank you!!”

“My best friend used to deliver beer to Nuby's back in the 90's for his dad's business. I'll never forget when I rode along the route and ate a burger there for the first time with him. We went back several times. He passed in 2013. I haven't been back in 15-20 years or more, but am planning on soon as the food was just amazing. I drive by sometimes and look over and think of the good times.”

“I went to this farm a long time ago on a school trip as a kid. The tour was very fun and informative for a younger kid. However, I was reminded of this trip by stopping in at the local dierbergs and buying a good-looking bag of cheese curds, and they tasted amazing! After eating the whole bag and going bag a few days later to get another , I looked up the company and found this farm, the farm I visited years ago! Great people, animals, and cheese! These are must buy cheese curds, and the farm itself is a fun and informative place to visit and tour.”

“This is a somewhat hidden place in Highland. Unless you're a local you've probably never heard about it and how to get there. It's nearly disguised as a house since it's on a residential street which borders the business district. But either way, it's a great hidden gem. It's a great senior citizen's place, as they are open during certain hours. And in 2024, they will only accept cash - not that it's a bad thing. They do have a great menu, and some may say the food is not top quality. But the prices are very reasonable, whether you're coming here for breakfast and lunch. Service is great as well. Lots of Highland history on display too.”

“Phenomenal. I cannot remember when I have had better brisket, or a better overall meal. Prices crazy reasonable. A time travel trip back to a time when everyone knew everyone, and you were greeted with a smile even when you were a stranger. Make a trip to experience this special restaurant. Ask for Mary. I loved it so much I wanted to know if I could buy whole ones instead of a slice with sides, and they happily accommodated. Not kidding, best quiche I've had in my life. 5 stars”

“When I first moved to Greenville Mario's was a little piece of home. The food is almost identical to what my grandfather served in his pizzeria when I was growing up. I later found out it's probably because both of our families are from the same part of Sicily. Wait times are sometimes long depending on how busy they are. But that's because of the way things are made, and the ovens they use. Just bake the wait time into your expectations and you won't be disappointed. The food is always top notch, and the people are always great.”

“We have been coming to City Scoops for many years now and it is consistently yummy. Their ice cream is very rich and creamy and they are always testing out new flavors. They also provide family games like Connect 4, which we really enjoy playing while we eat our ice cream. My son recently got the bananas foster ice cream and oh my was it good! It perfectly captured that flambéed flavor. My other sons prefer the vanilla and Elsa flavors while my fiancé loves their strawberry shakes! The service is always friendly and the interior is clean, bright, and welcoming. City Scoops is always a family fave!”

“The only sit down coffee shop in Greenville. Lots of students... as should be expected since it is on GU campus. But, the drinks were excellent and the baristas were friendly. The smores coffee was wonderful and the cinnamon scones perfect.”
