Walked in, observed sign saying seat yourself… so I did. Sat for 15 minutes and was not acknowledged. Table came in ten minutes after me and was given menus almost immediately, I worked as a server for many years and I know that you are aware when a new person sits down. Maybe I was a single table and didn’t count for you, but I did walk out and not a single word was ever said to me.

If you're traveling through pocahontas Illinois and need to stop....excellent food, service, clean rooms, and my 75 year old momma won $91.86 on the slots. Totally recommend this place!

The good was pretty good, and the servers were really nice. It took awhile to get a drink ordered and for it to arrive, same with the food. That was mainly due to being in a large group of like 20+

Had breakfast here that was included in the motel room. Was expensive at $94 , since holiday Inn was $99 and quality inn was $53, No freezer compartment in the fridge, bath was nice and water was hot. Free ice at restaurant.

One of the best little restaurants in the country. There aren't too many left with good quality food, good portions, and always excellent service. I stop whenever my schedule allows it.
Max and Sandy are the best...I had the Gretchen's favorite and it did not disappoint! It'll be a regular stop on my 70 West runs! What a charming place with real home cooked food and great conversation! Truck parking ❤️?❤️

I stopped here last night and stayed for my arrest break and got up this morning and went in and ate breakfast very good food very nice lady bug ? serve me, stick a fork in me I'm done ?
Parking: They have limited spots in the back for trucks do not charge you
Kid-friendliness: I've seen some local kids in there going to school this morning in eating breakfast with their parents
