Friendly staff with the option to bring your own food in and free popcorn with a variety of seasonings and you can't go wrong with enjoying your favorite beverage and enjoying the marine decorated ambience of this fine establishment. A nice small local bar that has live music once in a while on the weekends. A comfortable warm atmosphere with an outdoor patio for summertime fun.
As part of a bus trip, we stopped in sleepy downtown Polo at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon. When I exited the bus and saw the pub we were going to I was not overly excited. As I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the otherwise plain looking pub. There is more than meets the eye. My husband is a 22-year veteran of the Marine Corps, we were on a ride with our motorcycle club today and stopped in at chesty peas. The owner went above and beyond to see to it that everybody was taken care of. He had some great stories and some wonderful memorabilia. What a wonderful place this was. It's a great hideaway in Polo Illinois, if you ever get a chance to go through there, this is a must stop.
