I went for a Chicago Dog and the new owners were microwaving the hot dog and bun. I was surprised. I asked them about it, and I was told microwaved or grilled only. I must say that I have been going to this type of fast-food place for a long time including this one. I have not seen places microwaving hot dogs and buns. I could microwave a hot dog and a bun at home. I do not need to go to a restaurant for this. I would be careful as their food preparation has changed a lot. There is a taste difference if it is microwaved versus steamed. There is a reason that these hot dog stands have steam table equipment. Fries are no longer freshly cooked either. The new owners saw nothing wrong with what they were doing. It is a shame that they either don't care or don't understand the difference. Mr. Kim would never have done this, and he was there 33 years. I asked for my money back and they did refund my money. I wish them well, but I am not going there for Microwaved food.

By far the sarist excuse for hot dogs burgers and gyros in Chicago Don't waste your time You're better off at McDonald's The service is awful after a couple of bites I just decided to throw everything away by far the worst Don't waste your time Go somewhere else

Definitely a hole in the wall but meant in a very respectful way, places like this are hard to come by, they are the places that put Chicago on the map for the hot dog, pizza puff, cheese fries and beef sandwiches, hands down a great place for the Chicago style foods you are looking for
I’m not Sure why Cooks don’t practice wearing a fresh pair of gloves while touching food these days . As a Food Handler , My company requires us to wear new gloves each meal prep. The food here is Great but I found a piece of hair in my Gyro meat , Yuck I always inspect my food before consuming no matter where I eat due to situations like this . The food is good and they have great customer service I do recommend them wearing gloves to prevent safety violations.
