This was for a 65 yr. high school reunion. Although we didn't have enough people to have a private room, they set us up in such a way that it felt like we were in a private room. They made sure there was always fresh pizza and salad.Vegetarian options: We had vegetable and cheese pizza also salad as our vegetarian options.

They have great pizza! The owner is stand-up guy. Service is a little on the slow side but okay. Ambiance, well that is a different story. It is more like a Chuck E Cheese or a McDonalds with children running amok in the dining area, within feet of the full-service bar. Impossible for older adults to relax over dinner and drinks in the late afternoon.

What a quaint, down-to-earth restaurant and bar! I came here for dinner on a Thursday night around 6:45ish. It was pretty empty and we were seated immediately (we got to pick where we wanted to sit). We opted in for their outdoor patio which was spacious. This place is RIGHT next to the Metra, so be prepared for the train coming around 1-2 times per hour. I live nearby so it doesn't bother me but just an FYI. The outdoor patio was cute and lit up with hanging lights. Our server was so sweet! She checked up on us a good amount and was extremely friendly. Mac and cheese bites: 10/10. Truly nothing bad to say about them. Crispy but gooey on the inside, pretty big, and the accompanying sauce was fire. Chicken Picatta: 7/10. I don't know what it is it just wasn't doing it for me. The chicken was flimsy and didn't have the best texture. The sauce was overly lemony, which if it's your thing you'd probably like it, but it was a bit much. I wouldn't order it again. Sizable portion, though. Chicken Cesar wrap. 9.5/10. Truly really yummy. It was a bit small but delicious. The fries are to-die-for - sooo thick and potatoey, the fries are what took up majority of the plate. Cookie skillet - 7.5/10. I had high hopes because who doesn't love a cookie skillet? It wasn't bad but wasn't anything crazy. The cookie was superrrrr thin and I wish it had more ice cream than whipped cream. The pricing here is reasonable and they have tons of specials you can find online. Next time I'd sit inside and get drinks. I'll totally come here again!

I have gotten food from here twice now and I can’t say I don’t love every bit of it. From the Cheese Curds to the Chicken Alfredo I have had nothing but positive words to say. Whether it’s a late night snack or the place you want to take that one girl on a first date River Cafe is the way to go. I can’t stress enough how great this place is. There is one server Izabella who is divine. Amazing service and treats you as family. Overall 11/10 will recommend to anyone in the area!!

Well if you enjoy a cardboard Pizza on the hard concrete and flavor not existing at all and pepperoni burnt beyond recognition and this is a place that you want to go one of my neighbors recommended that I try their Sicilian pizza it has been a while since I've been in there it wasn't bad a little on the Bland side we had asked for it Well Done yes the outside pieces were a little well nonetheless it did not taste bad needs a little work the waitress the bartenders very professional they had a nice crowd last night they have done some really nice work inside I commend the way it's being managedParking: Even though they had a good crowd in there there was still plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Nice Wide Doors easily accessible with the wheelchair

Walking in, it seems like a old neighborhood restaurant that doesn't seem would be all that interesting. Where the decor is lacks a cohesive personality, the staff and food absolutely make up for it.We walked in and were told we could sit anywhere, it was a slow night in the dining room. Our server Bella brought water and answered a few questions. She was very pleasant and was always available, but gave us space. Tony while delivering food to another table, saw us eyeing what he had and came back to give us some info on it.When we got the food we were totally sold. I'm not a huge fried Mac and Cheese ball fan, but they actually tasted like my homemade Mac and Cheese lightly fried, and was amazingly fresh and delicious. One kid loved the angel hair with vodka sauce (which I tasted and agreed), the other had a burger that she thought was great. Wife had chicken marsala, and was pleased, and I had a panzerotti which I forced myself to eat only half of, so that I could enjoy the impending dessert. A skillet cookie. It did not disappoint, but definitely disappeared.I can imagine this becoming one of our old neighborhood favorites for years to come.
