Easily the best empanadas that I've had here in Chicago, the chimichurri sauce gives the extra flavor and perfume to the food. The local doesn't have many tables for sitting but you can grab them to go , and they are ready to be picked quick
The Empanadus storefront is not only incredibly inviting, but the dining area also has the added benefit of being bathed in sunlight during the initial dusk hours. Great selection of empanadas, both vegetable and meat based options. I tried the corn and the barbecue pork, and both were great. My husband got the tuna, mushroom and turkey empanadas. I enjoyed the herbal sauce that they have for dipping them in as well. A great lunch destination in Riverside.
