I grew up in Sterling, Illinois and that's where the first Arthur's was and that was the most phenomenal thing that ever happened to us in. Sterling and I have lived in Florida for the last 40 years and I have missed it dearly. So of course now that I moved here, my son gave me the choice of Maid-Rite or ours of deli. We live out of state now, but go out of our way to visit when coming through town. Nothing beats the work of art. The bread, toppings, everything. So much better than Jersey Mikes!!!
Arthur's is great, a Rock Island institution! Everything is made fresh for the most part, it seems. Soup - sandwiches - salads. It is a good place for a meal that isn't just burgers and the usual fare. There is always a good selection of items. It is one of our go-to spots when visiting the area.
