Mr. Wings in Rock Island is highly praised for its delicious and flavorful fried chicken, which many reviewers consider the best in the QC area. The chicken is seasoned to perfection with a perfect crunch and crisp every time, delivering a satisfying experience for those familiar with southern-style wings. Customers appreciate the juicy, meaty chicken tenders and the seasoned fries that do not require dipping sauces, highlighting the quality and taste of the food. The cheese fries are described as divine, and the greens are also highly recommended, with one saying they are "fire." The wings come in various flavors, including hot lemon pepper, and are cooked fresh within a short wait time of 10-15 minutes. Despite being located in the back of a convenience store with a modest atmosphere, the excellent food and reasonable prices draw repeat visits. The portions are generous, and the seasoning and cooking quality remind many of home-cooked meals, with some reviewers comparing it favorably to local and franchise restaurants. Service is still improving due to the recent opening, but the food alone makes Mr. Wings a top choice in the area. Overall, it’s a place known for its flavorful, well-cooked chicken and satisfying sides that keep customers coming back.
