I'm not surprised they didn't last. They didn't do anything to change the decor except put up an awning outside, and that was only because the old one was destroyed. The printed menus had prices so high we thought we were in New York and when we asked about it they gave us a tablet computer to pass around the table with different prices on it. It took nearly an hour to get our food and it was just kind of bleh.

This is probably the only authentic Chinese restaurant Rockford-Janesville area will ever get without driving to Chicago. Even though they have American Chinese food, don't be afraid to try the authentic chef special noodles. The chef is trained in making authentic noodle dishes and they're usually large portions. Their oil Splashing noodle is very flavorful.

Finally an authentic Chinese restaurant in Rockford! I tried the Lanzhou beef noodles and it was very good, the sliced beef is very delicious while my husband ordered a water broiled beef and the taste was very good as well. We will definitely be back to support.

Was Terrible meat was transparent see thru I ordered xtra egg onion and spicy order came out to 26 from 11 and I didn't recieve none of my xtra condiments !!! Never Again ..FOOD WAS NASTY!!! NOT WORTH IT AGAIN!!

I am sure this place deserves a better rating but it won't get one from me. Every Chinese place in Rockford will forever live in the shadow of imperial palace. 777 has an embarrassing selection of "vegetarian" options. They apparently have 1 employee that isn't cooking so the service is also not great. Every thing I have been told was true. Massive servings. Which doesn't really matter when you're eating sautéed cabbage. I have no intention of ever returning. If you eat meat, give it's shot.

Nice decor, good staff and really good food. Menu has been improved and very clean. I'm going to go back and try the appetizers and soup next time. The only reason for not being five stars is the location.
The orange chicken is the best in Rockford and the serving size is huge. Rice is not stuck together like at some places. The employees were super friendly. The restaurant was very clean and furnished pretty cute. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food this is the place. The noodles are home made and the dishes are spiced nicely. The spicy dry pot is more than enough food for 2.

The experience was great and the food was fresh, the side of rice noodles my dad got made good sticky lassos and made it a fun experience. The only critique I would give would be to get new tables, they're kinda old and sticky.
