“Have visited twice now and both times were fabulous. First visit, my husband and I were out chasing the full moon to get some good pictures and spotted this place on our mad dash. We circled back and stopped in to check it out. Immediately loved the atmosphere ~ relaxed and very inviting. We weren't even hungry and thought we'd just take a gander at the menu and maybe get a take out appetizer but it smelled so tantalizing we opted to seat and have a full dinner. It did not disappoint. So good in fact, when my friend's birthday rolled around I said I wanted to take her out to this great place I recently discovered. With a backdrop of enjoyable music and lovely decor as well as great service and delicious food, Vanakkam India is a real winner. Will definitely return.”

Melt-in-your-mouth, no exaggeration. The sauce? Perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and just enough tang to keep you going back for more. Their customer service was above and beyond! They went out of their way to correct an issue that wasn’t even their fault! To me, that means more than the food being good. “We live within walking distance of BSB and have dined here 30+ times since we have lived here. We have NEVER had a bad meal or a bad experience, which is SO impressive to say after that many visits. The food is amazing and the weekly specials are so good you wished they made the main menu. Their outdoor seating is great throughout the seasons and we loved bringing our dog here (and he loved it too). Now we bring our daughter who is a BIG fan of the mac & cheese and tots. This is a restaurant we will truly miss being so close to the day we decide to move.”

They were so busy. We didn’t have a reservation. But he was so kind and helpful, working out a way for us to have a wonderful dinner! Our server was so efficient. The food was as delicious as we were hoping! Literally my daughter’s burger was HUGE! The potato fries were cooked to perfection. I had a BBQ chicken salad that was so fresh and tasted amazing! The service was one of the highlights of the night. Our waiter was amazing, took the time to explain everything to us, made great recommendations, and really made the entire experience feel special. The atmosphere was great, the music was great, and the wine was excellent. I also had an Old Fashioned that was absolutely on point.
And then there was the food.
We started with the cheese appetizer, followed the lobster, steak and chicken platter with all of the vegetables and dipping sauces. The presentation alone was impressive, but everything tasted even better than it looked. Cooking everything fondue style at the table made dinner an experience instead of just a meal.
We also had a salad, and somehow still convinced ourselves we had room for dessert. 😂 We finished with the chocolate and caramel fondue with strawberries, marshmallows, cake and all the extras. Incredible.
The portions were HUGE. We actually split our meal and still ended up leaving with five boxes of food to take home. You definitely aren’t walking out of here hungry.

Yesterday, I decided I didn't feel the cooking after I got off work, so I pulled up the online menu and put an order in. The online process was easy to navigate, and my order was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up at the convenient drive thru. The gal who waited on me was super friendly. I ordered the "baby" pizza - 6 slices, and the toppings were very generous; cheesy garlic bread with a side of sauce (which was in a closed container and wŕapped in cellophane just to be safe against spilling) and a canoli. Everything was excellent. I will definitely be ordering again when I am too lazy to cook!”
