“Cool place. Located on the upper level of a multi-unit building, features a fully enclosed bar with indoor seating and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar, only me. Got a Monday burger special (Baker Street is closed Monday). Beer is a bit steep at $7.50 for a 16 oz. It looked like less than 16 oz with the tall and skinnier glass but I indeed confirmed with a pour of my pint-glass water into an empty. I recommend the Lucha Mexican with a slice of lime. Also fried the Lucha Lime, which was also good. Other beers are available, kind of hard to read on the tap handles as they’re handwritten in vertical print. Would have been nice to see the beers listed on the drink menu. I couldn’t find them anywhere.“

“Great mid-west, family owned, neighborhood pub. You'll never be served by a better group of bartenders either. The name Rockview might not sound familiar but "the bar on woodruff" or "the bar by the viaduct on Broadway " should jog your memory.“

Kid-friendliness: The dining room is large and plenty of room for children.

Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room and bar area are 7 steps below street level but there is an elevator chair that glides down safely.“

“The Tavern on Clark is amazing! My daughter and I were traveling from out of town and were recommended this place! The manager went out of his way to accommodate us and find us a table. They were so busy. We didn’t have a reservation. But he was so kind and helpful, working out a way for us to have a wonderful dinner! Our server was so efficient. The food was as delicious as we were hoping! Literally my daughter’s burger was HUGE! The potato fries were cooked to perfection. I had a BBQ chicken salad that was so fresh and tasted amazing! We come to Rockford for soccer a few times a year. We will be back for sure!“

“It's a very nice clean regular bar where all the regulars come tell their day time stories or their week stories whatever and it's all been redone on the inside so it's very clean very nice looking. They also offer games like darts there's TVs and I was there for a birthday party so I imagine they have other things I just didn't get to see everything but like I said it's a great local bar and it's very clean and the regulars like to have a lot of fun yet I found that it was not cliquish at all and everybody was very inclusive and wants what your favorite drink to get to know you even wanted to find out what your favorite drink is, nobody was standoffish are snotty or playing Mean girls because it's their bar, that's not the vibe at all, the vibe is come in have fun enjoy yourself and then go home and have a nice night that's the vibe I got from there! They also have Dart leagues that go to Vegas! Let's put it this way if it wasn't so far away from my home I would make it my local Watering Hole but I'm still glad that I got to visit it. “Nick H That’s not true about Texas Lounge I’ve been have events there even before Covid and my mom is in a wheelchair and the owner is more then happy to have her there she always help my mom get through the doors and she has never complained about scratching her floors. And if anyone felt that way you should’ve said something to her because she is a very fair and respectful person and I will never have an event no where else because the owns is so polite with all my family and friends it’s a real good place for any event. “I stopped by Whiskey Roadhouse after reading reviews that they had a good breakfast buffet. They do. It's Sunday 10-2p and it's very good food for a very reasonable price. The staff work very hard cooking and stocking the buffet with quality food but it's hard to keep up at times when a large group of hungry folk descend on the buffet at the same time, so be patient. Food will be out shortly and it's worth the wait. Very friendly place. If there is something that you need, just ask and they'll get it for you.“
