“For a small town bar, this place is pretty cool. They have a huge bar, gaming room (of course), plenty of seating, and a gated concrete slab for outdoor seating, music, and a game of bags! Plus, the staff was cool as hell. Can you ask for more than that?“
“Food is far above expectation for Ogle Co. Dining . Service is fabulous. Downfall is that we have never eaten here and not had super wasted obnoxious beer drinking idiots playing pool. Seems like a bad business plan to drive away people spending lots of money on food for a bunch of people that drive customers away. The pool table is inconveniently placed by the front door so you have to walk awkwardly around a crowd of inebriated fools to get to your table. Every time we have come here people just get up and leave due to the rowdy folks blocking the front door and the access to the gaming machines. That being said. The food and the service (truly a rare find in these parts) outweigh the cons for our family.Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing small children here. At all. My kids are big boys and not sheltered. Normal children would not fare well in this environment.“
“There are several bars in Byron, all within several feet of each other. With that said Uptown is the unique one. It has a bowling alley. Also they tend to go off road with their food. The have unique twist on regular restaurant and bar food. They are like the Burger King in the sea of McDonald's. You have to go there at times to break the monotony.“
“Great place to stop. Friendly staff by herself on a Sunday afternoon, but not too busy. They had a busy weekend and were out of some of the items. We ordered thin crust pizza which was good and the Buffalo fried cauliflower was nice and hot.We will be back to try some of the other items that were not available.“
“Love this place... Great food from the attached restaurant next door (Father's and Son's ) and delicious drinks. My wife and I come here every couple weeks when we're looking to get out of Byron. The bartenders are always polite and quick to pour a drink. The machines are fair and the people who go here have always been friendly. Great place to relax and unwind. Becca and Carla are both terrific bartenders and are a joy to hang out with.“
“My brother and I had the razorbacks hamburger and they were excellent gave me enough french fries for a family of 3 I was eating them for days afterwards the music was very loud at first but they turned it down after 30 minutes or so neither my brother or I drink alcohol but no obnoxious drunks that was good ? I don't watch football either and it's funny that I ordered the Razorbacks hamburger I was in visiting from Arkansas!? “Local bar and grill next to the Rock River, near the campgrounds. Really good $2.50 Bloody Mary! Food was great. Italian beef was the best, fried chx sandwich was huge! Excellent service from Hailey who was helpful and upbeat. This is now our go-to place. Last night special was 1# ribs (4-5 bones) with fries and slaw for $10! “First time! Gathered there for a work party. Had the Mango-Habenero wings with zero additional heat. The sauce had a mild zing, good thing I didn't add extra heat, which is a fun option. The fries were delish!Dietary restrictions: The bone-in wings are not coated so it's a great gluten free option.“

“My college son had to use this coffee shop/Internet cafe for a late night e-class. I stopped in to grab a cup of coffee and for a little relief from the cold rain. It was warm, cozy and smelled rich with coffee. He was able to get his 4 hour class in comfortably. The slot machines are on the other side of the establishment and were no bother to his studying. Perfect for what we needed it for!“
“Very nice place in a wonderful location!! Right on the river in Oregon with amazing views, cozy, up north atmosphere, you'd think you are in Hayward or Minocqua! Plus it's on a snowmobile route, adding even more to the up north feel in the winter. Amazing taxidermy animal displays that you'll want to take some pictures of as well! Now the food, amazing!! Burgers are awesome, really fill you up for a VERY reasonable price, even in January 2024!! I had the double cheese burger, the wife had the trashy burger (with coleslaw), and the kids had the single cheese burgers, and we all really enjoyed them. Cheese curds and cheese fries I would recommend too!! Great food, atmosphere, and listening to a live band here on a Saturday, Beaver Creek Band, what could be better!
