“I came in tonight specifically for the pickle margarita that only one server knew how to make. Amanda made them and they were AMAZING! She even sat down and chatted with us for a bit :) On a side note…. Our original server was nowhere to be found after we had waited well over 10 min to order. We went to the bar to inform them we were ready and they kinda looked annoyed that we wanted to order. Our order wasn’t taken down correctly but the food was alright. I would say the service was only fantastic thanks to Amanda. Would return specifically for her pickle magic!”

The Sunday crew of Dennis and Emily rock! Super attentive and excellent banter with the patrons. They work great together and utilize a team approach when managing the bar and grill. They talk with the customers and make everyone feel right at home.
The atmosphere here is always friendly and welcoming… even if you’re not rooting for the home team on a Sunday afternoon!

“The food is always delicious. We first tried China King in Byron when we moved back to the area in 2019, and since then we've never had any issues with the quality, quantity, or freshness of the food. Highly recommend 10/10 ⭐️”

“Good place to go eat. We were the only customers in the restaurant area. We did go early for dinner 430p. The server was attentive and the chef came out to greet us which was nice. Smashburger was excellent and so were the garlic parmesian wings...”

“We went for dinner. We waited almost 10 minutes before the waitress came out from the back. The sign said please wait to be seated. There were a handful of people there. The large photos across the back wall are scenic. I found the large “Costa’s’” I metal across the back wall clunky. The restaurant soundtrack was a Sinatra compilation station.

The table we chose had not been cleaned, or not cleaned well. There was a singular waitress who was taking care of all 7 tables.

We ordered cheese sticks which were well fried and the perfect temperature when they arrived at the table with a marinara sauce with meat. They were tasty. Next came homemade bread with butter and oil/parmesan. It was delightful to have the choice.

The canneloni was packed with meat, and very deliciously saucy. The tortellini carbonera was divine! Highly recommend these two pasta dishes. We will return for the food, maybe takeout might be a better choice.

Parking: There is parking adjacent to the double doors.”

“Shout out to Jamie .I called ahead with 20 happy meal orders . With a 15 minute time frame .everything came out perfect everything was correct and she even made sure everyone got the same happy meal toy so there were no arguments .”

“We all know Madison’s Chocolate Shoppe is the best but we are so fortunate to have The Scoop in Winnebago. We make sure to coordinate open hours with our trips. Only sad thing to say is that they close for the winter months. The Scoop is so inviting from the store its self to the owner to the outstanding staff. We have never had a bad experience here. We like to think of this as our happy place. We are always happily welcomed, offered samples, questions answered, given generous portions, thanked for coming. 🥰”

Crowd is a random mix of young and old. 3 pool tables, 2 dart machines, 6 gambling machines and a shuffleboard table. Plenty of parking. Street parking in the front, parking lot in the back. Like every bar there are some exceptions but it's a nice relaxing environment most of the time.”
