“We had the Ribs special...fall off the bone literally! Catfish special... breading was crispy and hot on the inside, not oily, and my son had the cheeseburger but choose to eat off our plates. Our specials came with soup or salad and dessert! YUMMY!!! IT WILL DEFINITELY BE OUR GO TO FAMILY RESTAURANT!!”
“My first order was to go. I had read and heard about the Chicken Jockey so I had to try it. I got the dinner (that came with 5 pieces) baked potato, side salad and 2 dinner rolls with butter. I took one bite of the Chicken Jockey and my mouth started to water. It's the best chicken that I've eaten in a very long time. The portion is so generous that I got several meals out of it. I couldn't wait to eat my next meal. All of this delicious food cost me $16. I'm really looking forward to going back soon. ?”
“Great friendly place. JC is an amazing chef! Tacos, burgers, salads, brisket all have JCs special touches. Nice clean neighborhood bar/restaurant. Staff is always friendly and there is always sports playing on the tvs. Love this place!”
“My first order to go was absolutely delicious. ? I had the meat lovers omelette (ham, sausage and bacon) with hash browns and a biscuit with sausage gravy on the side. It was so much food that I had breakfast for another 2 days!! It's well worth $10. The service was friendly when I placed my order and when I picked it up. I'll definitely be back.”
“Been going there for awhile an yea i live about 50yards north East have known rick since 70's damn good friend plus his family an pam took care of me sat night 7/13/19 after my boss ron leek passed tue true friends”
“I recently moved to this very small town. I was looking up restaurants and stumbled upon this one. I looked at the photos and read some reviews and I had to give it a try. I'm SO glad that I did!! When I called to place my order for pickup, Brittany answered all of my questions and she made sure that all of my special requests were fulfilled. When I got home and saw my Meat Lovers Skillet and my pancake, I couldn't believe my eyes!! It looked so good. I couldn't wait to try it!! OMG!! It was absolutely delicious!! I literally had to force myself to stop eating it!! My two little Yorkie girls were begging for some so of course Mommy had to share. They said it was Woofing good!! I'm looking forward to ordering it again as well as trying other things on the menu. Thanks again Brittany for making my first experience a spectacular one!!”
“My 1st Time stopping in. Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive bartender. I ordered the fried pickles and Reuben Sandwich. Fried pickles were the best I have had and the Reuben was just as good. Cheers!!!”
“Yet again, Ciminos was the best pizza place known to mankind. Word of advice: get the extra sauce. Their sauce is the best pizza sauce I have ever eaten. Beer nuggets were also excellent, would recommend. You can get a large pizza with an appetizer and drinks for 2 for 25 dollars, and you'll have to save half the pizza. It's that good.Vegetarian options: You probably can, but it's better to get something that is goodDietary restrictions: Same as with vegetarianParking: PlentifulKid-friendliness: The bar is seperateWheelchair accessibility: Kinda”
“Wowowow! First let me say there was another person who mentioned the chips and salsa were the best in a 50 mile radius... THEY ARE NOT WRONG! The salsa is incredible! We both got fajitas, chicken and steak, which were flavourful, filling, and everything you could hope for! Fresh tortillas to go with it! This is a 5 star experience that is tucked away! Service is fast and friendly also! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“Food is great. The people are great but beware of the coffee cup lid. I asked for two different lids and they both are not good. I was in my Porsche and I picked up my cup very gently and the lid popped off and coffee went ”
“A great little restaurant. We went on a busy night, yet the waitress was very attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. Good portions, reasonable prices. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in the area.”
“It's a good experience bikers, karaoke, nice food, and hosting, friendly place. The most important for me is the one who runs the bar she is very friendly and pretty women.”
“We had just finished church, and were looking for dinner. We hadn't been to La Vigna in a while, so we thought we'd go there. This place is south and around a mile east of Oregon. If you don't know where it is, use your GPS and you'll find it. It's a quaint location with low ceilings, good smells and good food. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and then seated in the back dining room. The lighting is provided by sconces on the walls, and a lot of Italian lights strung from the ceiling. It's brighter than "romantic" by a little. The menu was interesting - we started with a grilled Portobello Mushroom which we shared, which was in an interesting sauce. I added some parmesan (shaker on the table) which made that even better. While we were waiting for that, a tray of warm bread was provided. Oil and shredded parmesan cheese were already at the table. Yum! Entrees are served with soup or salad - we both had the salad with Creamy Gorgonzola dressing, with the extra crumbles on top. The greens were very fresh, and the dressing was tasty. I went for their Filet Mignon, medium rare, which was served topped with mushrooms and marsala wine sauce. The steak was properly cooked to order, and was quite tender. My wife ordered their Scampi Picatta, which was loaded with shrimp and she said was very tasty. The wine list is a little light with 5 different "house" wine brands, but they did have two different upscale bottles - we went for the Pinot Noir, which hailed from France and had an interesting parchment brochure hanging from a ribbon on the label. For desert, my wife had a cannoli, and had their Raspberry Sorbet. The cannoli was authentic and tasty, but the Raspberry Sorbet was very good. If you like Raspberry sorbet, this is the place to get it. It was very rich. The place was pretty quiet noise level wise, We could hold a normal conversation. The floors are carpeted, which helps.”
“A very wonderful cafe in downtown Oregon. I love the music in the background from the 20s or 30s and the food and coffee/tea is amazing! I got the grilled brisket cheese sandwich and the London Fog. Very delectable!!!”
“Alfano's has been a favorite restaurant in our family for a long time. We've never had a bad meal. We have friends from Monroe (WI) who drive past several Italian restaurants to eat at Alfano's. It's their favorite, too. I took away a star for the atmosphere because of the gambling area. It is private and quiet, but it takes up some of the previously available dining area.”
“Bartenders are friendly and remember what you drink. Good selection of music on the jukebox. Crowd is a random mix of young and old. 3 pool tables, 2 dart machines, 6 gambling machines and a shuffleboard table. Plenty of parking. Street parking in the front, parking lot in the back. Like every bar there are some exceptions but it's a nice relaxing environment most of the time.”
“Really nice bar with good bar food and ice cold beers. Lots of tvs good for sports fans. Very clean and modern decor classy for a town that you can drive your tractor to the bar !!”
“Had Drunk Chicken with Zing sauce and it was amazing! Just a little spice with the sweet sauce, loved it! Chicken was great, onion rings were burnt. You win some, you loose some. The onion rings made it 4 ☆ but the chicken was 6☆!”
“Spent a weekend in Oregon and ate here Sunday morning. Food was good and our waitress was very nice. We will return next time we're in town.Parking: Parking available in the lot behind the building and some on the street. I think street parking is free but not sure.”
“Unfortunately this bar has been fairly empty for lunch, but one of my favorite spots for it.Burgers & tacos are really good. Deserves to have more people dining in!!”
“Attended the Haunted Murder Mystery Dinner show and tour, so much fun! Definitely recommend! The ribs by mayor Mike were fall-off-the-bone delicious! Creep vibes 10/10! Such an iconic place to visit and learn about the history of Oregon.”
“Incredible quality of food. Only been a handful of times, yet it sure feels like they remember me.The restaurant is clean, but is simple. You go for the chow, not atmosphere.”
“I had the sweet chili wings they were a touch overdone and the sauce was a little too runny but they were still good and they hooked you up with the fries ! The Sam Adams Octoberfest draft was tasty !Parking: Plenty of parking out back”
“Went there to clean for service hours I chose them every time because they deserve it out of everyone they were so nice and very open to talk about anything they were so nice they gave us free pop and burgers wich were so good tasted like my pops burger's maby even better made with 100% love”
“My college son had to use this coffee shop/Internet cafe for a late night e-class. I stopped in to grab a cup of coffee and for a little relief from the cold rain. It was warm, cozy and smelled rich with coffee. He was able to get his 4 hour class in comfortably. The slot machines are on the other side of the establishment and were no bother to his studying. Perfect for what we needed it for!”
“We stopped for a few days in Oregon IL and ordered delivery from here. The Father/Son burger was excellent! My wife loved her meatball sandwich! The delivery was a little slow, but not the fault of the driver at all. We rented a house basically off grid and it was pitch black out...my son waved him down with flashlights...pretty funny. Driver was apologetic and the food was still hot and sooooo good. Stop in here or order if you ever have the chance.”
“Great quality service, fast cooks. Fed two grown men for under 30 bucks including tip! Just a great place in general!Vegetarian options: They have options available for a vegan to get full. A fith of the options can be animal free or substituted.”
“Salad bar was lacking. I ordered a 35 dollar ribeye cooked medium and got well done. It was too chewy to eat so I sent it back along with my flavorless broccoli. I lost my appetite so I told them I didn't want a new one. They charged me for the whole meal. I will say the prime rib was excellent.”
“I would recommend Hectors! I had the steak tacos and my wife and daughter had the chicken tacos. They all were excellent. Chips, salsa and guacamole was very good as well. I ordered a fresh made margarita and I have to say one of the best I have had. Service was good and attentive. We were from out of town so very pleased we chose Hectors.”
“Jen’s bread is the best you will find. I have bought her bread probably over 50 times at this point. The bread has never disappointed me or my family or my friends. The service is always perfection. If you can’t get to the store they deliver other places which is awesome and incredibly convenient if you can’t get to Mount Morris. Thank you Jen for making such an incredible product for my family. This Momma appreciates you very much!”
