They also host events occasionally that are lots of fun.“

He was personable, glad to explain the ice cream shots they have, shared the last Tue of the month paint "party" they do, and was on top of making sure needs were being met without being overbearing. The space is well kept, machines are in great condition, and the overall vibe is easygoing whether you’re stopping in for a quick session or staying awhile.

What really made this visit stand out though was the food. I tried the Napoli’s Specialty Supreme Pizza, and it was honestly excellent — fresh, loaded with toppings, and cooked perfectly. Having quality food available while you play is a huge bonus compared to many local gaming cafes.

Also, I believe I am a patty melt Connoisseur — and theirs is probably the best in the stateline. I’m also big into that taco salad. The drinks are cheap and the patio out back is stupendous. “It's a very nice clean regular bar where all the regulars come tell their day time stories or their week stories whatever and it's all been redone on the inside so it's very clean very nice looking. They also offer games like darts there's TVs and I was there for a birthday party so I imagine they have other things I just didn't get to see everything but like I said it's a great local bar and it's very clean and the regulars like to have a lot of fun yet I found that it was not cliquish at all and everybody was very inclusive and wants what your favorite drink to get to know you even wanted to find out what your favorite drink is, nobody was standoffish are snotty or playing Mean girls because it's their bar, that's not the vibe at all, the vibe is come in have fun enjoy yourself and then go home and have a nice night that's the vibe I got from there! They also have Dart leagues that go to Vegas! Let's put it this way if it wasn't so far away from my home I would make it my local Watering Hole but I'm still glad that I got to visit it. “Cool place. Located on the upper level of a multi-unit building, features a fully enclosed bar with indoor seating and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar, only me. Got a Monday burger special (Baker Street is closed Monday). Beer is a bit steep at $7.50 for a 16 oz. It looked like less than 16 oz with the tall and skinnier glass but I indeed confirmed with a pour of my pint-glass water into an empty. I recommend the Lucha Mexican with a slice of lime. Also fried the Lucha Lime, which was also good. Other beers are available, kind of hard to read on the tap handles as they’re handwritten in vertical print. Would have been nice to see the beers listed on the drink menu. I couldn’t find them anywhere.“

“Nick H That’s not true about Texas Lounge I’ve been have events there even before Covid and my mom is in a wheelchair and the owner is more then happy to have her there she always help my mom get through the doors and she has never complained about scratching her floors. And if anyone felt that way you should’ve said something to her because she is a very fair and respectful person and I will never have an event no where else because the owns is so polite with all my family and friends it’s a real good place for any event. “Local gem. Reasonable prices on drinks. No food but people sometime bring it in. Chips! They have pinball, pool, darts, and some other game I never play.

Friendly bartenders and people. Does not normally shut down early like some other places. I enjoy the regulars.“

“The Tavern on Clark is amazing! My daughter and I were traveling from out of town and were recommended this place! The manager went out of his way to accommodate us and find us a table. They were so busy. We didn’t have a reservation. But he was so kind and helpful, working out a way for us to have a wonderful dinner! Our server was so efficient. The food was as delicious as we were hoping! Literally my daughter’s burger was HUGE! The potato fries were cooked to perfection. I had a BBQ chicken salad that was so fresh and tasted amazing! We come to Rockford for soccer a few times a year. We will be back for sure!“

“Had a group of 19 women in for lunch today. Went in last week to let staff know we were coming on Monday at 11 am. I arrived, no tables were set up and I had to help arrange tables. All of our meals were very good. There was a huge variety on the menu choices. I asked our waitress if I might have a gift card ( $10 or $15) to draw from among the women. Was told the manager could not get ahold of the owners to ask if this was okay. Really? Anyway, every 2 months I make a reservation for us all to go to lunch. Never been turned down before. All the food was great. This just rubbed me the wrong way.“
