“Bonita Burger King off and on for the last more years than I can count. Let's just put it that way. Trying to ask him. Hey I want to whopper Junior meal. Do you still have those? Oh, we never had those I might go. Yes you did so rather regardless if you didn't have it or not. Just say I don't know if we ever did but this is what we can do. Somebody needs to go in and teach people manners. Other than that food's okay, a little bit high price then everybody's high price these days when I go back. Yes.“
“Best fries around and unlike the McDonald's down the street, they actually fill them more then half full. Burgers are great too. They did forgot something in my order the last time I went but when I went back they made it right. Even after that I still give them 5 stars.“
“Amazing host when we came in came right up to make sure we were good on ordering. Got our shakes right away and the food wasn’t far behind. She helped bring food to the table and checked in on us to make sure everything was good!! We need more people like her! Thank you we will be back! :)“
“On the first day of 2024, amidst the hustle and bustle at the McDonald's drive-thru on 173 in Machesney Park, IL, patience was truly put to the test. The line stretched long, seemingly frozen in time. However, within this unexpected wait, a remarkable experience unfolded, largely owing to the incredible positivity and warmth emanating from the cashier, Dawn.As the queue inched forward at a glacial pace, frustration threatened to overshadow the New Year's Day spirit. Yet, Dawn's cheerful demeanor was a beacon of light amid the impatience. Her welcoming smile and genuine enthusiasm uplifted the mood, transforming an otherwise tedious wait into a pleasantly surprising encounter. In the midst of the lull, a thought emerged—how often do we find ourselves in situations where patience is the only option? It's reminiscent of the Biblical verse Isaiah 40:31, which speaks of waiting upon the Lord: "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Just as this verse encourages endurance and faith in divine timing, Dawn's unwavering positivity encouraged us to embrace the wait with grace.Despite the chaos around her, Dawn managed to engage with each customer, offering not just efficient service but genuine human connection. Her ability to turn a potentially negative experience into a positive one was truly commendable. Her kindness and patience were a testament to the power of a positive attitude in even the most trying situations. This encounter at McDonald's on 173 in Machesney Park serves as a reminder that sometimes, the best experiences can arise from unexpected places and moments. It highlights the significance of patience, positivity, and the impact a single individual, like Dawn, can have on turning around an entire experience. In summary, while the long wait might have tested our resolve, Dawn's exceptional service and infectious positivity truly turned it into an unexpected highlight of the day. She exemplified the virtues of patience and positivity, leaving a lasting impression that transcended the confines of a fast-food drive-thru.In closing, this experience reaffirmed the belief that in life's waiting periods, much like that long January line, there can be hidden moments of grace and joy. And for that, a heartfelt acknowledgment goes to Dawn for making that day at McDonald's a remarkably positive memory.“
“We ate here for the first time last night and we will definitely be back! I love how vegetarian friendly the menu is! The Fried Green Tomato Melt was SO good! We ordered the Dipping Flight as well and really enjoyed it! Such a cool idea! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I hardly ever leave a review for a business unless the quality/taste well exceeds my expectations. I am from CT and currently on a business trip located a mile down the road from Buddy’s. The atmosphere is fantastic unlike anything you would see in CT. Top tier service from the friendliest counter person in charge of taking your order. My first night I had to try the double buddy burger, waffle fries along with the highly reviewed fried mushrooms. I went to take a small bite from each and was truly amazed with the quality of the food! I couldn’t resist so I decided to go back again the following day to try a Philly cheese steak with waffle fries…. Again, consistency is key when finding a new place to eat. Not sure when I will be back in this area again but you already know I’ll be trying something new!“

“I’m new to Rockford and where I’m from (Chicago area), there are tons of great food options. I say this because I consider myself to be a foodie (and a picky eater). Anyway, I ordered a burger and waffle fries from here and it was DELISH. It was so good that I contemplated going the next day. I’m going to save myself the obsession and wait two days to go instead. I don’t want to look too needy. Anyway, the burger meat was really good, toppings were on point, and the bun was soft but not too “bready”. Waffle fries typically seem to come bland but not the ones here. Seasoned well and they come with a sauce of your choice. I will definitely be coming back. Very good stuff!“
“Went here for lunch with my buddy Jeff. Bar tender and waiter was Brian, this dude knew how to make a fancy old fasion and was on point with the service. The cook was amazing salad , chicken sandwich, maple glazed bacon ,cheese curds were a 5 star . I'm super picky with food and this place is a Def! I appreciate the service today! ?“
“The place was busy, I also didn't realize it has two seating areas and an upstairs with pinball. The beer was tasty and refreshing. The fried pickles were bomb af. The oyster mushroom po'boy was good, not great but decent. Prices were on the high side for Impossible patties & vegetables. All.in all, it was good for vegan bar food. I would go back. As a footnote, the service was pretty bad. Multiple times we were brought food we didn't order (i.e. someone else's food) or already received. The food took a long time, but like I said, they were busy, which is good.“
