The Post Sports Bar & Grill Reviews
If you're anywhere near Winnebago and haven't been to The Post Bar & Grill, you're seriously missing out. This place is everything a small-town bar should be — friendly, welcoming, and always a great time.
First off, the bartenders are top-notch. Missy, Brooke, and Angel are all amazing — super friendly, fast, and always make you feel like part of the family the second you walk in. Whether you're grabbing a beer, trying one of their specialty drinks, or just chatting at...read full review
Last night was our fourth time visiting this location and it never disappoints!! The food is always good, the beer is always cold and the service was spectacular!! 5/5. Also, our son loves the smash burgers so much. Last night he "smashed" a double!
They just can’t get a to go order correct. How hard is it to follow directions?
Poor quality food made incorrectly.

The Post Sports Bar & Grill is a lively spot in Rockford that offers delicious food and plenty of TVs, making it ideal for game nights, casual dinners, and drinks with friends. Located in a convenient spot with ample parking, the restaurant features an energetic and casual atmosphere filled with memorabilia from local teams. The multiple big-screen TVs ensure that guests won’t miss a play, no matter where they sit. The service is friendly and efficient, though during busy times, especially on game nights, service can slow down a bit. Still, the staff is attentive and happy to accommodate special requests.
The menu includes classic sports bar fare with standout dishes like the pork tenderloin sandwich, which is huge enough to make two sandwiches, and Philly fries. Customers also enjoy smash burgers and Razorbacks hamburger. The pork tenderloin is notably large, and the tots are crispy and well-seasoned without being too salty. The loaded nachos are massive and great for sharing. The food is consistently good, with crispy buffalo wings and well-seasoned fries. The bartenders and cooks are friendly and add to the welcoming vibe, especially during special moments like Sunday Bloody Mary specials.
For drinks, there’s a decent selection of local and domestic beers on tap, along with reasonably priced cocktails. The restaurant offers game-day specials like $5 drafts during NFL Sundays, which add to its appeal. Prices are fair, with most burgers and sandwiches between $12-$16, and generous portions ensure good value. During major sports events, it can get crowded, so arriving early is recommended for a good seat.
Overall, The Post Sports Bar & Grill is a great place for good food, fun atmosphere, and sports entertainment.
