After not stopping in for 9 years, I am glad that I did! The Pizza is great! Pretzel's are good. I like the Jalapeno Cheese stuffed pretzel and they have a new GIANT pretzel on the menu that's not bad in price. Best of all the quality of the beer was so good I had to take a Crowler to go.
Got some beers and something to eat at this small brewery in Rockford in downtown. It has a kind of limited selection, but there's still a good variety. Carlyle isn't as well known as the other breweries around here, but that's okay because there's not as much of a crowd. Has the more basic styles of beer and some more heavy ones. Upgraded with new ownership. I know this is going to be a controversial statement but…this is the best pizza in Rockford. Perfect tavern style - crispy, thin, good chew and flavorful. Ate two of em. Service was excellent, great selection of brews. Check it out for yourself.
