I use to go to this place 5 years ago and it is a very comfortable to enjoy your food and relax. I love the brat burgers and fries. And Their beef stroganoff with soup. At the time I use to dine in after my daily walk. But then a few years later I had to move someplace else and since then I really miss coming here. And I read the news article about them closing permanently due to the lack of support if I am not mistaken. And hopefully it isn't true. Because I Love everything about it this historic restaurant. And I was wondering if they can start serving pizzas and pasta dishes because I believe most likely it can happened and hopefully some day if I make my way from across town just to catch them on a decent time it will be Great. But other than that I hope they can maintain to stay open. And like I said I still have hope in them to bounce back...
Great breakfast items, lattes, and coffee! Accommodating staff too!
I like the brightness of the new decor. The new menu threw us for a loop. Was expecting the same traditional German food they've always served but found quite an eclectic menu. Food was good but very disappointing at the same time. My lunch partner hates change and this was a big one. Wish the new owners the best of luck.
This place is awful now. Service is limited. You have to order on your phone or go up to the counter too order. I got the 3 sausage meal. The sausages were good but the sauer kraut was terrible and the potato salad the same. The brown bread wasn't very good either. I doubt I'll be back.
The food is phenomenal. Coffee is amazing, Best latte in town! At this point I can say I have tasted a little bit of every everything in the menu ??. The place is great, the staff is awesome! By far, the best Salmon I ever had. Best burger too.
This place is such a gem! Great food, great atmosphere for working/studying during the day time. Definitely planning to return for dinner.Update: we returned for dinner at the outdoor beer garden portion of the restaurant, which is dog friendly. Food was delicious and servers were attentive. Try the Pork Schnitzel or the Hungarian sausage.
Very nice experience. The food was delicious and German. There were also many choices on the menu for those looking for vegetarian options. The breakfast menu looks excellent! So glad to have Rathskeller back. I'll be there again and welcome the changes made. Thank you
Went in this morning for the first time since the new owners. Waitress was excellent and friendly. They did a great job on the remodel but it doesn't look at all German. Had a breakfast sandwich, which was basically a sausage mcmuffin with egg, was also excellent! My compliments to the cook. I was disappointed that there was nothing left from the old menu which is what I was hoping for. Black Coffee was $3.00 and NO refills and have to walk to the counter for service. Nobody else there at 930am. Not sure how long they will remain in buisness
The indoors upstairs has been nicely updated, we just walked through on the way to the Biergarten so don't know about the basement. The Biergarten was basically the same with the addition of heaters, which surprisingly weren't needed on this warm November night. The menu and beverage lists have been updated, so just be prepared if you had been when it was the older version that you might not be able to get the things you had in the past. The food we all had was great!
