Eat here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My wife and I have been eating at Great Wall in Rockford since we started dating over 32 years ago and it’s still one of our favorite spots in town. We raised our kids on this food, and now it’s a family tradition every time they come home from school.
The flavors have been consistently amazing all these years, the portions are generous, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. It’s rare to find a place that stands the test of time like this one, but Great Wall has done it. Truly a Rockford classic!

We love this place for Chinese food. Though, recently, it has felt like the quality might have gone down? We won't stop coming here. The food is great. I like to try something new every time
My husband likes to get the same mongo beef.

Had been awhile since enjoying the food at this restaurant. I had the Happy Family Seafood Platter. Still delicious as always. My daughter had the Beef Potatoes. Tender delicious beef!

Got takeout last night and everything was excellent! Have eaten here for years and it’s all still like it’s always been contrary to other neg reviews. I don’t get what they were talking about. It’s still 10/10! Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. Egg drop soup, egg rolls, sweet & sour pork and orange chicken. And still cheaper than anywhere else with a ton of food.

I never give all 5 stars so this is good! My mom and I used to eat here on a regular basis but she moved to AZ for over 5 years. Now she’s back and we recently went out to dinner here. Boy did we miss this place! Mom ordered the Mongolian beef and I ordered a special dish not on the menu: Jjamppong. It’s a Korean soup. Yummm 😋. Love it!!! I will warn you that it may be a bit spicy 🌶️ for some. Pic included. They also have delicious jasmine tea. I hope that you enjoy this review and this special little restaurant. It is owner run and they are a delight. Hope to see you there. You will know who I am because I will be enjoying my jjamppong!

Moved here a year ago and wanted to try something new. Owner said that they have been here over 50 years! Food was hot and tasted amazing. Felt at home stopping by just to pickup takeout, they are very welcoming and amazing food with great portions!

I was not impressed with the food . The last time I ate here was over 15 years ago and it was much better than that it is now the waitress was very nice and the prices were OK but it’s not somewhere I would eat again

This was my first time here which I told the receptionist this. I ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken teriyaki and 2 egg rolls. The shrimp fried rice was greasy, the chicken was whole pieces, didn’t look appetizing with a little bit of teriyaki sauce in the bottom of the box, and the egg rolls was spicy. I will not be ordering anything else from here. First impressions are always accurate. Waste of money fr.

Staff was nice, but food was horrible. The General Tso's chicken was bland, the fried rice was bland, and I don't know what they gave me, but it wasn't egg drop soup. Don't recommend. Won't be back.
