Hot, delicious, fresh, and YUM!! Great service :)
3.5/5Been here about five times, no issues with service except today and I always review when something is not right. Removing some stars because of a fussy attitude with a young gentleman. After waiting 20 minutes for food, we were greeted to multiple bell rings to indicate food was ready for pick up. Some places bring you the food you know. I would advise calling ahead. In any event, I am not a trained monkey, there is no need for this. If you are not ready for prime-time customer service, go work at the DMV. The second thing was there is no red sauce. I don’t like garlic sauce and that is standard. You should have more options available, god knows I have only been to 50+ middle eastern restaurants in my life. I think tahini included for free and red sauce should be added to the menu, even if an up charge.
Food was good. There was a bit of a wait because they make everything from "scratch". Prices were reasonable. I would definitely eat here again.
Their food is SO fresh, I had the Jerusalem salad and the chicken shawarma platter, and I highly recommend.
First time at the Rockford City Market, and was pleasantly surprised to come across this place. The falafel was so fresh and delicious. The employee was kind, and service was fantastic.Love finding hidden gems with vegan options!
Had a burger and grape leaves here. it was DELICIOUS. They did seem a little unorganized though. And then I went back a couple days later. google said they closed at 3, but it was 12:30 and they were closed? Weird. Otherwise good good food
Delicious, meat tender and flavorful. Rice was perfect! Greatly with smile and hospitality. Will come again
Excellent food!!! Super Nice Staff too!!!
I love supporting local business, especially in the downtown area. Craving falafel and being a previous patron of Ronits Kitchen - I thought finally trying Guzel was a great idea for lunch. After waiting over half an hour, I was definitely expecting freshness and quality. The falafel sandwich was mediocre in taste and no sauces were given. The side of fries could have been cooked longer. A choice of salad instead of fries would be a welcome option, as well. I tried to relate to the cashier how inconvenient it was time wise, but my point was not understood or even seemed to be taken seriously. I'm simply taking this as a loss and will not return, while I'm greatly disappointed and surprised their business has lasted this long. It could be a wonderful menu and addition to our downtown if executed well.
I wish I could’ve gotten my meal from this restaurant, I was so looking forward to it. However, even though there website says that they were masks when I got there neither person behind the counter was wearing a mask. I had to turn around and leave because I won’t buy food from a place that works with the public and doesn’t wear a mask!
Restaurantji Recommends
terrible service waited 30 minutes plus for lunch.
Food is always overcooked and very dry. The menu is all confusing if its Mediterranean, middle eastern or American! You're serving shawarma, shukshuka & hamburger on the same menu. I think if you focus on your Homeland menu, it might improve.
Wooooow love it ? I recommend everyone to try the burger
Got to try the shawarma sandwich out! It tastes delicious and is greatly cooked. Will definitely be coming back for more!
Best Indian food HANDS DOWN! PERIOD! Always ordered food here via doordash or I would go pick it up. Very good fresh food. Very tasty and tender lamb. Stuffed grape leaves are Just excellent! If I could give 100 stars I definitely would!
