Always go there for the same thing. It’s always great! Service… I guess it depends who’s serving you. Sometimes it’s great other times I’m waiting around for 30 minutes just to get a drink. All in all, staff has always been very kind.

Took my parents yesterday and service was awful. Food was decent and place was dirty. This used to be a great place but now waitresses have an attitude and are mean. Management will need to fix things internally but I for one will never go to this place again sadly.

I goggle seafood restaurants in Rockford and isla Del Mar popped up… I try the tostada de ceviche de camaron fire follow by el Coctel el encrabonado also fire, I’m not from the Rockford area I’m from Plainfield and I can say that this will be my favorite restaurant in Rockford.. thank you Sra.Balnca for the AMAZING HOSPITALITY. I give this restaurant 10 out of 10.

I went February 27th at around 10:40 the lady working there has a nasty attitude while taking my order as well as my parents, sure people can have rough days but she was only acting this way towards us and not the other customers she was smiling and laughing while taking others customers orders but with us very closed off and rude not even a welcome greeting upon entering the building. I couldn’t enjoy my food because the lady waiter sat across from our table just staring at me and giving me dirty looks I imagine it’s because I’m muslim and wear hijab I assume she didn’t like it! I don’t recommend this place apparently they don’t like people of different backgrounds here.
I bought una sopa de mariscos for 26 dollars. The thing is the price would of been fine if they actually put everything they said it has. Esta sopa had more imitation crab then anything else. The flavor was terrible, but I’ve tried way better for cheaper.

I have never had a bad meal here ever. Our latest there was a couple of days ago and I had the shrimp tacos and my wife had the seafood soup. Both meals were amazingly delicious and very filling. The staff are very hard working and always have a smile on their faces, they have excellent service. The best Mexican restaurant in Rockford!!!
