We was in town for a funeral & looked up JJ's fish & chicken for dinner before we hit the road back home. Google said it was open until 12am however when we got there the open sign was lit up but the light's inside was off and not a soul in sight. We had to wait & drive 2 hours to Davenport, IA to finally get some JJ's. I felt let down, disappointed & with a growling stomach. I am not sure why they closed super early hope that all is well

THE RESTAURANT AND FOOD IS ALLLLWAY GREATTT!!!?? BUT I WENT TO THE ATTACHED BAR FOR THE FIRST TIME?? I MEAN THE SET UP WAS KOOL... BUT THE BAR TENDER/PHONE DJ WAS SOOO RUDE AND TOO BOOGIE FOR ME.....THERE WAS TWO BARTENDERS SHE (THE ONE FROM CHICAGO) WAS KOOL AF DOWN TO EARTH LAUGHED AND TALK TO HER.... BUT THT OTHER??? Best chicken ever. Drove over a hour but it was worth every mile ..Hot and fresh after driving over a hour the chicken was still hot???
It's not too good, I try my best to patronize Black owned business, but this place could do with some major improvement. I waited over 40 minutes or more for my order after being told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Wings were burnt a little. Not upset, improve. I'll come back. I'm not a gambler, but it seems like the gambling area and the bar setup look nice. But the restaurant can be way better. Let's get it right, please ?? I believe you can.

I patronized this place tonight, 6/21/2024. I placed my order at 10:15pm with the bar. It is 11:15pm and I still don't have my food. I asked the bartenders more than once about my food. BOTH of them had a bad attitude. The customer service was horrible. How do you get an attitude because I asked about my food. I asked 3x. The 3rd time, I told her that this isn't good customer service. No one even went to ask about our order. I am the customer. Don't get an attitude because I asked you about food that I ordered an hour ago!! Just unprofessional!!

The food is so good! The fries are not like any other fries! Definitely somewhere to eat out for a date! Good prices!
This place was a favorite. Was drive from Madison Wisconsin to it because it was the closest to us but today, February 23 after a hour and a half drive. This food was not what we were use to. Horrible. The catfish filet was dry crunch with hardly any meat. The fries was damn near burnt and cold after wait almost a hour. Please go back to what you use to do but for now we will travel to Milwaukee

The food was very good. The Italian Beef was tender and not overly cooked. It was dipped perfectly not to wet. My jerk chicken Philly was on point! The perfect blend of sweetness and spicy. Me and the wifey split 3 choice combo. Whiting, Perch, Chicken Wings. The wings was about average size ( small) but was seasoned and cooked nice and crispy! My whiting and perch was seasoned nicely, probably a little over cooked for some, but it works great for me. Wait time was probably around 35 minutes for a walk in, not bad for freshly cooked food and friendly service. I recommend for whoever is reading this and live

Called an order in, when I came to pick up the order was already taken by a random customer. I had to wait another 25 minutes so they can remake my order. By now it's legit an hour wait. I'm livid. I asked for the manager, come to find out - he was there and left without acknowledging the issue. The workers argued they weren't wrong because the food was paid-(their gain $) but dismissed the fact they were wrong & inconvenienced my family. I will be calling in the morning to address the issue. Proper professional training is def needed. I'm good on this location. The ghetto ?
