Great discovery while looking for food after the long drive from Chicago. Super cute vibe, great building! Fantastic coffee. The specials were delicious and the portions huge. We had Asparagus Strata, Reuben sandwich, MacNCheese, and Squash Lentil Stew. We tried Shankys Whip whiskey because it was an ingredient in the chocolate stout cake. Awesome! They were only serving at the lower level during our visit. I was very disappointed because of the great reviews I read. The food was very underwhelming and very small portions. The fries were fried so much there wasn't much to them but a crispy exterior. The wait time for our food was extremely long for being at 1 of 4 tables with patrons. Also, NOT baby friendly...no high chairs, no bathroom changing station, and all the stairs. Someone reviewed said they were! This place does charge a 3.5% non cash fee for anyone wanting to use credit/debit card.

My favorite brunch spot in Rockford. Coffee is excellent. Classic breakfast options with a few house specials that are incredibly tasty. Servers are attentive- we always have Graham downstairs and he's a joy. The environment is super cozy!

Hands down, best homemade cake & desserts. Thank you for going out of their way to create menu items to my food specifications...all menu items are delicious, but the chocolate layer cake & pumpkin cake are both amazing; definitely worth the occasional dessert slurge.

Delicious! Awesome drinks and food. Best biscuits and gravy. So good. Phil's "plate" or whatever it's called was a beautiful mess of breakfast. Biscuit, gravy, potatoes, bacon and GRAVY. Shanky's whip and OJ tastes like an orangesicle. Friendly service as well.

The food was great. The staff were great. Unfortunately, the experience was not very good simply because they were short-staffed and the wait for our orders was quite long, 45-60 minutes. The dishes were not complicated and we only had a party of 3. Hopefully next time the experience is better.
