Anyone can sell you coffee and pastries. There are over 68 coffee and tea establishments in the Rockford area alone.
There are 11 coffee shops from one national brand and another 5 from a national chain that specialize in donuts.
So why do I go to Meg’s?
The people that sell me my coffee are the reason. I’m not alone in this thought. It’s like going to the fictitious local bar “Cheers” in the 80’s.
Everyone is treated the same. Welcomed, greeted cheerfully, and asked if they are having their usual.
How do they remember everyone’s “regular”?
I think it’s because they care.
One other thing brings me in…the coffee and menu items are incredible!

This is my regular local coffee joint. Great service always, homey feel, small business versus a corporation. Their specialty flavors are okay but I will stick to my regular order, tried and true ✌?

I love Meg's!! It's local and it's coffee! What's not to love?!?! The staff are friendly and helpful! They have the bedt selection of everything! They even have muffin tops! Yes! Just the tops, the best part of the whole muffin!!

While I love the coffee and the atmosphere your weekend staff is absolutely terrible. Every weekend my order is wrong when I go through the drive thru. They get the wrong drink, chai versus spiced chai. The wrong size, tall versus large. I repeat myself twice so they get it right, I get to the window and it’s wrong. Then when you tell them it’s wrong, the insist that’s what you told them at the speaker. Today I didn’t even purchase the drinks and left. I feel bad doing so because they have expenses but if you can’t get it right, then you shouldn’t be paid. So now I’m left without my morning coffee and cranky. Will I go back, yes. Will I continue using the drive thru, no. I will say during the week no issues. It’s the weekend crew they have working that causes all my frustrations. I can’t speak for the Perryville location as I don’t frequent that one often.
Again, I love this place. But let me fair warn you of there weekend drive thru crew. Go inside and be happy!

Our event got rained out, and we went to Megs Daily Grind where we got our Lattes, and found a table in a very homey nook with a fireplace and comfie chairs. Then we found they had games, so we played a couple of games and had a great time! Home away from home.

I love the baristas here, and the menu is so big as far as flavors go. The inside is nice, the prices are good, and so is all the coffee and staff.
Super friendly place with a busy yet relaxed atmosphere and great for coffee and studying.
