Ordered the Italian beef with cheese. As always, it was amazing. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried it.

Horrible meal from drive thru, a 5 year old could have done a better job prepping it and flavor was lacking as well. I'm through visiting this place as prices are going up and quality of food and service is dying off.

The atmosphere was amazing clean and neat people coming in and out. Great service came out and checked on me. The food was literally amazing. I came in to do a food review on the place across the street and I just felt I shouldn’t do it. I saw this place across the street when I was waiting for them to open so I came here instead. I’m so happy I did. They have new ownership recently. The prices are way too cheap specially for what you get with your food, I wish I had one of these where I live. I would frequent this weekly for sure if not a couple times a week. I really wish them well

Excellant beef sandwich!!!!!!!....or ised ro be...thebeed has gotten smaller, the bread isn't as thick...let's hope they make it.. i miss Frank
It's all about that bread they use... Soft and a little sweet.
Hungry? Have a Full Panino, and a bag of chips & drink. Usually ask for mayo and mustard packets.

This is like Fazolis 2.0 but the bread and food is far better! I wish i lived closer to grab it more often, but it's well worth going out of the way if you're craving some Italian or just a really good sandwich.

This is definitely NOT ITALIAN. NO TASTE.
Not sure what ingredients used for Meatballs and Sausage casing is SOOOOO tough, cannot cut with a knife. Sauce is reallyyyuy bland. And who eats Meatball Sandwich on SIDT BREAD. Only the proper way is a Crunchy Sub Bun. Not even considering of ordering any PASTA dish. I'm sure sauce would be SOOOOO bland. No TRUE ITALIAN SPICES.
Not even considering of ever ordering again.
Even OLIVE GARDEN uses better seasoning.

Tried Paninos on 02.28.26 for the first time and let me tell you it will be the last. Ordered a beef with cheese and a beef and sausage combo. As you can see from the pics the sausage was undercooked and the beef was burnt. When we ordered we asked for sweet peppers and was told they don't have sweet peppers. Really? How do you have beef and don't have sweet peppers? If you can' make a decent beef or cook sausage properly there is no way I would try anything else from here. In addition the bread was doughy. Being from Chicago and having the likes of AL's, Johnnies and Mr. Beef, if you want to pretend that you're an Italian Place you need to get it together. As far as service goes the wait in the drive thru was long. We did not go inside. Very disappointing

I was pleasantly surprised that it has not changed terribly much with the new ownership. they have added an All American burger which is kind of questionable to me. But the owner thinks that's gonna help him.So that's okay. i love the pasta. and the bread seemingly has not changed. i do miss the old owners because they were so sweet and nice. the staff is just fine, but they're not quite as good as the old owners were. still a rockford jewel
Just food in an intimate setting. More people should eat at a restaurant that serves such delicious food.

Honestly, I used to love paninos but the last year or 2 it has been so disappointing. idk why they get more and more expensive but cheaper and cheaper about what they give you. I ordered a side of mostacholi and I got like the smallest amount of sauce ever. Basically was a cup of dry noodles. Like thanks could have bought a box for $1. Then I don’t like many toppings on my side salad so you would think they’d maybe throw in a little more cheap lettuce since I’m not getting toppings? Noo never. Not this place. I’m just over it. After 20 years I will def eat elsewhere from now on.
Normally I would recommend this place. However, the last 2 times I have been here my soup bowl has been just barely half full. The first time, I let it go...figured it was a fluke. But, went again today and the same thing. I called to say I was disappointed as I pay $5.50 for a bowl and it should be full. The young gal who answered the phone informed me they are under new ownership and have lessened the proportions! Likely have lost my business now. It's a shame!
