Used to be a great spot, but now you’re completely at the mercy of the employee schedule. Some are great and know their stuff, but some move at a snails pace and have very little awareness when it gets busy.I used to come several times a week, but now it’s not worth it unless I desperately need beans. If you like roulette, this is your spot!

Great place. Perfect coffee. Great employees! Stopped and got a cup of coffee and a chai to go on my way passing through Rockford. I'm glad I did, this was really a fine place for a good cup of coffee!

Excellent 3rd wave coffee shop offering freshly roasted coffee, roasted in their own roasting facility. Offering of course the standard cafe items, but Also an ever changing seasonal menu of specialty drinks. A multitude of non-dairy options. These folks understand coffee and it's place on a local and global scale.Vegetarian options: There is no meat served here at all.Dietary restrictions: Pretty much every baked good is baked using a milk substitute.Parking: Park in the public lot across Main St. The 1st hour is free.

These guys are amazing. The baristas remember your usual orders and always greet you with a genuine smile. They roast their own coffee and it tastes great.

I waited 45 MINUTES for my mocha latte. I ordered a breakfast biscuit and a mocha drink. I got my biscuit around after 15 minutes I ordered and I never got my drink until 30 minutes later. This is so ridiculous because there was no reason for them to take as long as they didWhen I got there it was empty! No one was in line other than one couple. This was the worst experience I have had in a coffee shop. I had to eat my biscuit by itself. My mocha was cold. Also, people who ordered after me were receiving their orders! Unbelievable.UPDATE: I'm updating my review because the owner of the shop was so kind and accommodating. I appreciate the customer service provided and will definitely give it another chance when I pass through Rockford again. :) thank you again, Sam.

Stopped by with friends to get a quick bite and drinks. When we arrived there was nobody taking orders so we waited until somebody finally took our order. Apart from that wait they took about 30min to just get my hot chocolate but yet others who came after me were getting their things first will not go

Unfortunately my visit to Rockford Roasting Company fell short. The coffee shop was in a convenient location with plenty of parking around. I really liked the look of the coffee shop too and they had a good variety of available drinks. The downfall started when it came to actually ordering and getting our coffee. We showed up and only had 2 other couples in front of us. One ordered, paid, and sat down. As the second was ordering the cashier (rather than one of the other 2 workers standing around) just walks away to tell the previous one that a drink they ordered actually wasn't available. Eventually it gets to us and we begin to order and the cashier walks away in the middle of our drink order to ask a coworker a question so we have to start over. After the first drink order she walks away again and said she isn't actually sure if they have that either and had to check. While waiting for our drinks we kept looking up there and often the 3 workers were just standing around talking when there were still drinks to be made and a few more people in line. We also saw multiple parties walk in and leave after standing in line for a few minutes without the line moving at all. The two couples who ordered before us both had a question and asked one of the workers who had no idea how to answer. We got our cold brew after about 5 minutes which isn't bad, but they didn't know if they actually put the syrup in it or not. It somehow took another 20 minutes to get a latte. To me it seemed like nobody had any idea what they were doing. Overall the coffee was good, but by the time we left we had already decided we likely wouldn't be back.Pro:- Good coffee- Nice locationCons:- Workers- Time it takes to receive drinksParking: Parking lot directly across the street that provided 1hr free parking then paid parking via app afterwards.

We've tried numerous mom and pop coffee places around the Forest City for our visits. Save your time, and money. Rockford Roasters is your best bet! Great java!
