1st of many visits to come! Great food and very friendly staff. Our food was cooked PERFECTLY and seasoned so well. Very fast service and any questions we had were easily answered. Absolutely loved the Ramen! Huge portions and amazing flavors. We had both the Chicken and the Pork, so can say with confidence that it's all good! The wings were so crisp and the garlic sauce we got for it was super yummy! The dumplings were on point and the KBBQ sauce and cheese corn dog was something new and such a huge surprise of flavors and textures. There are more options for it than on the menu board, so make sure to ask!
Finally! A ramen restaurant in Rockford! Yes I know we have a few but this one really captivated me.
The environment is very clean and bright, I love the gentle anime-inspired decor to give your inner otaku a giddy jump of joy. Every table has a selection of condiments for your food, so you don't need to go and ask for anything extra.
The food itself is quite lovely, hot and fresh and flavorful! The ramen broth is absolutely slurp worthy, I never leave a drop behind! My favorite is the chicken ramen bowl, but the pork is also great. And you must order the Kimchi fries!
The Pork Ramen was extremely tender and delicious! Chicken wings and egg rolls were Devine! Food was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. This will be our new Go To for take out! We did not know they were new to the area in the former Five Guys location. Spread the word and show them some love.

I've eaten in here every week since this place opened. While I did not have a lot of ramen experience under my belt, only other place being ramen misoya, this is the best ramen that I've ever had. I usually go with the spicy chicken ramen and my wife gets the tenders with egg roll sauce and it's always a hit.
Everything is super friendly and is willing to custom make orders for me if I feel adventurous. I always order takeout and everything is super fresh by the time I get home.
For a ramen place, I feel the broth is lacking in power to carry the bowl to the touchdown on flavortown. The noodle was decent but I was a bit surprised they didn't ask how well done we wanted the noodle (for a ramen shop I assume this is the norm).
The other food I got, the Korean Corn dog was superb. Best Korean Corn dog I've had as of yet thanks to how crispy the exterior is.
I'll definitely be returning to try other menu items in the future and for more Korean Corn dogs.

The entire place feels very relaxed, the food is phenomenal, and even the prices are well below what I would expect if someone had asked me to guess the price based on the taste and quality. Every staff member is friendly and attentive, and I'm always just in a better mood after eating here. I've recommended it to nearly every person I know who asks where to go eat. One of the best parts is, you have to come hungry. I'm a plate cleaner. I don't believe in to-go boxes. Usually when I go somewhere to eat, I'm probably down for a snack a few minutes later. I'm always full leaving Ryusei. Just a bowl of ramen, maybe some gyosa, and a drink. That's all it takes and I'm set. Knowing my appetite, that's intended as a giant compliment. I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but seriously, just go. It's the best.

I had the Pork Katsu Curry and I have to say it was better than I could have imagined. I went with mild and it had a nice sweet flavor. You get a generous helping of rive and the pork cutlet is a great size, and nicely fried .
The Pork Ramen was delicious as well. Noodles were cooked well and the pork was so tender. Not to mention the BROTH WAS TO DIE FOR. My spouse is very picky about his Ramen and he cleared his bowl.
We will be back to try more and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Japansse eats..

I love this place! It my go to for lunch on fridays! The staff are very friendly, the restaurant is very clean and welcoming, and the food Is beyond amazing! The ramen is so good, and very tasty and their Korean corn dogs almost that! They are so good! I tell everyone about Ryusei because it is such a great place! 10/10
