Sam's Ristorante & Pizzeria

This food was SO good!! We live about 2 hours away and would drive back just to come here. Plenty of options for everyone, great atmosphere, absolutely phenomenal food.

We were in Rockford visiting the Japanese Gardens & Conservatory. Sam’s was recommended to us by a local. We had the bruschetta, Bosch sticks & pizza. In all honesty, it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had… and being from Wisconsin, that’s saying a lot! 10/10 recommend!

I come to Rockford once a year for work and this will be my first stop for dinner!!!! The food, service, staff, and owners were exceptionally amazing. With a short notice Gino helped me plan a dinner with a dance party for 200 people that were in town for a sporting event. Can’t wait to come back and try more items off the menu everything looks amazing.

The waitstaff here are SO rude, my grandma has dementia and tends to ask questions over again, despite me explaining our waiter that she has no memory at all, he was SO rude to her for getting confused. We will never return.

A bit disappointed with this restaurant because it had such nice reviews. Currently, it is partially under remodeling, so it was awkward to find the right entrance. Our server was nice, friendly, but seemed to be a little bit in a rush to get us out of there and did not get our drink orders 100% correct the first time around. We ordered a cappuccino and it came on a tumbler glass, warm, not hot. We ordered a few dishes and a couple were in good portion size but the lasagna was really small. Some of our dishes came barely warm and got cold really quick. Atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. They actually had banquet rooms with wedding and birthday parties. Overall, it was a little pricey for the quantity and quality of the food.

Parking: Gino was very helpful patience with our Church organization. We loved the professionalism and welcoming.

Kid-friendliness: Gino was very helpful not only for the adults but for the children he was very mindful and made the kids apart of the celebration.
