I used to love this chain 30 years ago but it seems like that it has went downhill in most locations. Finding myself passing through, decided it was worth trying and glad I did. The chain isn’t how I remember from the days of servers being replaced by kiosks. That said this place was clean with the manager out front. Staff was super friendly and checked on us. With so many Steak n Shakes closing or on the decline, it was great to experience one that was as good as the “good old days”. Also not far off the road and close to a Wal Mart and Sam’s Club gas station

I used to go to Steak and Shake but since they installed a computer machine for drinks that do not taste correct. My strawberry milk shake did not have real strawberries but a funky tasting syrup which made me swear never again. Excuse me while I regurgitate!

I ordered one single cheese burger and was told to pull up to a parking spot nearly 7-8 cars came after me and got their food before I did approximately 30 mins later I went inside and asked for a refund and they were clueless on when I ordered food. Really terrible service! And rude employees Her name was Alexis and has a red tattoo on her neck needs to be fired she had me wait over 30 mins for nothing!!!

Let’s talk about the steak. Or, more accurately, the “steak.” It’s less “succulent, mouth-watering goodness” and more “sad, overcooked piece of mystery meat that’s been left under the heat lamp for way too long.” I swear, I’ve seen more flavorful cardboard.
Now, the shakes? They’re the real MVP. Thick, creamy, and packed with flavor like they actually care about dessert. But don’t get too excited—your shakes will be gone in 5 minutes, and you’ll be left staring at that sad, sad steak like it’s your ex at a party.
Final Verdict: Steak 'n Shake, your shakes are a love story, but the steaks are an apology letter. 2/5 stars—because no amount of whipped cream can fix your meat situation.

Dang good steakburger! First timer, so accidently threw the QR code for beverages away. Young lady bussing tables was very understanding and took care of our beverage debacle. Would definitely visit again.
Ordered cheese fries and they said the cheese was on the fries but they gave the cheese on the side. They could also advertise that the fries are shoestring. I didn't like that.
