I had heard a lot of negative feedback about this restaurant, but me being me, I wanted to give them a fair chance. Big mistake.
We walked in at 8:09 PM to find about four or five staff members standing around behind the bar chatting. After standing there for a couple of minutes, we were finally told there would be about a 15-minute wait — which made no sense since the place wasn’t busy at all. Still, we smiled and said okay.
Only a few minutes later, the manager came out from the back with a terrible attitude, loudly complaining that she didn’t want to “do this anymore” and announcing they’d be closing early and only accepting to-go orders. Keep in mind, they don’t close until 9:30 PM.
One of the young ladies behind the bar laughed and told us again they were only doing takeout. When we asked about the 9:30 closing time, she said most of the staff was leaving at 8:00 (we arrived at 8:09!) and only two people would be left to close at 8:30.
Meanwhile, there were still customers sitting and eating — so it was clear they just didn’t want to serve anyone else. It’s honestly disappointing. We traveled over an hour to get there, only to deal with unprofessional behavior and a complete lack of effort.
No one seemed to want to work on this beautiful Sunday night. It left a very bad taste in my mouth — literally and figuratively.
100 out of 10 do not recommend. Save yourself the time and headache.

This is where I want to be when I die! Getting messy while peeling seafood, dipping the garlic cheese bread. Dont worry about getting all dressed up- it is casual. This is the best way to get sauced! Don't believe me just get in your car and go enjoy the experience of your own seafood boil!

We had a horrible group of kids with parents who didn't care next to us, the kids spilled 3 drinks, and they stiffed the staff, but the staff handled it well, checked on us many times through it, and gave us a great dinner.

I’ve been to this place a couple times, they’re always out of oysters, and a bunch of other menu items, and it’s a little bit overpriced even for seafood. I’ll go on a Friday or Saturday night and not all the tables are full, but it’s usually a 20-30 min wait. Most the time I’m okay with it, because it’s the closest seafood spot to my house. But tonight I got to watch the waitresses curse at each other about not wanting to take my table, and being mad if I was sat in their section. Right off the bat, that was really weird, and I am probably not gonna come back to this spot. It wasn’t very professional and just in general not the kindest way they could’ve gone about that situation.

The pictures really don't do justice. That was just the best one I had. However. I recommend the same special for the seasoning. It's got the right blend of heat. As well as flavor. I got the crab legs, the sausage, the potatoes and the corn. It comes in a bag, they bring you the buckets to break your crab.Legs with and they even give you a bib.So you don't make a mess and they'll give you gloves.If you want to use those. Be prepared to spend about a $100 to $150 for 2 people if you're going to get appetizers and drinks. Otherwise you can probably spend a hundred dollars with tip if you're on a budget. Be prepared to spend at least an hour. If not longer eating your food because it can get messy.But it's really good! Service is always great when I go there. After you're done, you can even take some pictures or write your names on the wall there to signify you were there. It's a neat place with a great experience. 👍

Well this story is 2 fold. It's always delicious there sea food is bar none the best I've had.
But Secondly my buddy lost his keys for over 2 weeks we where looking for them and someone found him on TikTok and asked I these where his. He is pretty big on TikTok but he gets hundreds of messages a day so he doesn't usually get to all of them. But we where getting ready to higher to higher someone to make a new key and fob it was going to cost close to $1000 and he happened to be checking all his messages after we where feeling defeated and someone sent him a picture of his keys from the stormy crab asking if these where his. We where over joyed and the staff was great when we went back to pick them up.
Overpriced and not worth it. Portions are small as well.

crab legs were so small could hardly get any meat from it. The shrimp was WAY overcooked and just mush. Potatoes were still too raw. Egg was so overcooked the yolk was green. Sausage and corn was good but that’s about it. I paid $55 for a dinner combo I’m extremely disappointed in the quality for this price! Never again.

Our daughter’s boyfriend recommended this place. It’s a bit far from our North Suburban area but worth the drive! Lots of choices, but we created our own plate so we could share. Food was fantastic, the sea food combined with the potatoes and sausages was amazing! Highly recommend.
