Repeat clientele, usually holidays, birthdays and dates with wife and family. Great value and quality of product and service; neat original cocktails and dishes with a twist! Live DJ on Sunday brunches; DJ TURN. Provides great ambience! Always a nice experience!
Extremely limited and overpriced menu. I ordered filet minion, cooked medium, and French fries with water. I got about 5 or 6 oz of well done leather and some decent fries for a little over $50. Poorly cooked, bad cut of meat for $32. Service was very slow.

The view and ambiance are fantastic, even magical. However the service was slow and the waitress rarely visited our table. Food was just ok and rather pricey for the appetizer-sized portions. That said, I would return, just with different expectations.
Surprising. I consider this location the pit of Rockford. Great place. Not really food. More like snacks. Still very good. Fries with Parmesan aoli are excellent. Flatbread great.cocktails are great.

Ellie was our server tonight probably the worst service i have received in my life... The fries are definitely the best thing on the menu. This place is definitely just about the atmosphere as far as drinks and food absolutely horrible

What a magnificent little spot right in downtown Rockford! The service was absolutely top tier, the staff there is on it! Friendly and knowledgeable, quick to make accomodations, just couldn't ask for better.
The food? Holy moly. Think small bites so you aren't shocked by the plates, but there's nothing small about the flavors or the dessert! Do not skip the creme brulee cheesecake! Every bite is a treat, so even though the portions are small, the menu is dynamite!
The outdoor area is incredible with the views and the seating. Just a top-tier place all around.

went for dinner with friends last night for trivia, service was extremely slow. the server almost forgot to take my friends food order and then walked away before taking mine. drinks took 15 minutes, i would understand if it was crazy busy because i am a server/bartender. while we all wanted water refills we watched our server eat a sandwich in the back.. granted our water glasses sat empty all night. for paying 270 dollars after a 20% tip was just not worth it to me.

Went here for food prior to seeing a concert in Rockford. We got lucky with finding seats at the bar however I definitely recommend making reservations if you have a group larger than 2 people. We sat at the bar, so we didn’t really get to experience the full view except when we walked around outside. The food was good however kind of pricey. This place makes for a swanky date night. They have premium cocktails and the food was good. They are known for “light fare” which is mostly appetizers and tapas style food. If you are looking for a full meal with sides, The Top does not offer a menu with that.

Great location. Okay food. Service was not like it was from a depressed robot. Goodness, was the service crap.

Our brunch was delicious, both food and beverages! Our server was friendly and attentive and it was lovely to be able to enjoy sitting outside with a river view! My daughter and I shared a Breakfast Board and it was more than enough for two, so a nice value, as well.

The staff was excellent! We made our reservations for the 4th of July before they were even advertising it. I was a little disappointed making the reservations very early that we were unable to get a seat by the edge of the roof overlooking. The cocktail selections were okay. It didn't seem like they had as good a selection as last year but the bartender did get me something else. One thing that I really liked that was different from last year was that we got real glasses and not little plastic cups . It didn't seem like the food had as big of a selection either. We did try the wagyu sliders and they were good. Overall, a very nice night!
We went on the 4th of July. First time there! The view was spectacular and we could see fireworks from all around the area. Food is good and the drink selections were perfect for the night. We will be back. Our waiter worked hard to make sure we had a great experience even though they were packed for the night!
Service was great. Atmosphere was wonderful. Drinks were tasty. Great view of the fireworks. Food options were limited and not worth the cost, in my opinion.
I would like to give five stars to the new Manager Andrew of the Rooftop. There was some confusion when I booked a room at the hotel (my fault) and getting the opportunity to watch the 4th of July Fireworks from the rooftop. Andrew went way out of his way to make sure my Grandkids would not be disappointed. It is rare, to have someone take a situation and turn it into a wonderful experience. Rockford please make this restaurant a priority. They have an amazing Manger, Andrew!!! Thank You Andrew!!

Lance, Maggie, and Tye always make our stay here memorable. Maggie is always so pleasant and attentive, and Tye and Lance serve up the best cocktails.
