I would like to give five stars to the new Manager Andrew of the Rooftop. There was some confusion when I booked a room at the hotel (my fault) and getting the opportunity to watch the 4th of July Fireworks from the rooftop. Andrew went way out of his way to make sure my Grandkids would not be disappointed. It is rare, to have someone take a situation and turn it into a wonderful experience. Rockford please make this restaurant a priority. They have an amazing Manger, Andrew!!! Thank You Andrew!!

The atmosphere was great! Beautiful view. Our reservation didn’t go as planned but the manager took full responsibility and more than made it right by setting my wife and I up with our own secluded spot on the 11th floor! It made our night. We didn’t end up ordering any food because we just weren’t feeling it at that point. Again, the manager did go above and beyond to make it right and I definitely did so we greatly appreciate that and because of it we will be back to try the place out again.

I promise you I don’t want to be writing a review for this place but I felt like I was detained and robbed by this restaurant. Reservation: 1030am (everyone arrived by 1040). It took over an hour and 3 of us complaining (because they took 2/3 of our orders only) to get everyone’s drink and food orders in. It took an hour and forty five minutes for our food to come out (no exaggeration). 4 people in our group ordered French toast, all of it was raw in the middle (confirmed by our server). Almost everyone who ordered eggs had undercooked eggs. The table behind us, who had been there half as long as us, demanded to see the manager and sent her our way after they spoke to here. She basically apologized, said “sorry we’re not usually like this” and then was never heard from again. They then told us the credit card machine was down when we finally got our checks almost 3 hours after we got there. Our option was to fill out a form with our credit card info or run to the lobby and get cash. Nice little added atm fee. Then the cherry on top was the gratuity added in. Not only did we all get undercooked food, awful service, and have 3 hours of our lives wasted, we were charged for gratuity due to the party size. Any single person who has worked customer service or ever managed(I’ve done both) probably could’ve done a better job that the manger who had the opportunity to smooth things over. Usually a single experience usually doesn’t define an establishment. In this case, please save yourself some time and money and go to literally any other place out there. Worst part of all this was it was to celebrate our friends birthday. Everyone single person left upset and I’d imagine you’ll be able to read several reviews about our experience. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.

We ordered the Traditional Board and the Steak and Eggs - the food was delish!! They were playing rap music on Easter Sunday, nothing against rap music but there were a couple of older customers in the restaurant and I doubt that's what they wanted to listen to. Our waitress was great! What I wasn't happy with is we were seated at a small 2 person bar top table (there were only 2 of us) we were told the Traditional Board was huge and would take up most of the table. We asked if we could move to a larger table and we were told that they had a lot of reservations and we couldn't move, so they grabbed a second small table and moved it next to our existing table. The table was uneven, wobbly (with a napkin shoved under on side) and they moved them together the long way, so I was further away from the other person in my party, making it hard to talk over the music. We had a reservation too, we were the first people in the restaurant that day, we spent over $100 on brunch and there were only FIVE tables being used the entire hour we were there. There was absolutely no reason we couldn't have changed tables and been comfortable.

Went for brunch. They were having some special event with a DJ that was WAY too loud. We waited so long to get a drink, we decided to just leave.

We went for Brunch 3/30/1025. I think this is new for them and hope they will succeed. Cute music and theme from the movie dirty dancing. Food and presentation were excellent. Feel they are working through service/staff learning curve. Took a while to place orders. Food served but had to wait for napkin/silverware. One of the managers was good about checking on us and filling in the gaps. We will go back and see how it goes. This has the potential to be one of the best brunch option in town.

When a server comes to an igloo zip door behind them. It lets all the heat out! The food was awful. Selections are few and drinks are weak. I was disappointed but I do love the rooms at the ES.

There was initially a bit of crisis upon arrival because I was informed that the igloos on the 12 floor rooftop for Valentine's night were overbooked and I was "the last one who had booked" (3 wks ago! maybe a call by now?), so that they were shifting us to an inside private room instead. This was very disappointing as the igloo experience was key to eating there for a Valentine's date. Luckily, just as I was about to tell the other three of us the disappointing news, a few of the parties there were already sat in the igloos decided it was too chilly out there and came in, freeing up an igloo so that our reservation could be fulfilled. Aside from that our server was a saint, having to run in and out of the building in the literal blizzard, was still very attentive to come out and check on us and we tipped her accordingly. The fancy apps we split: poutine, brussel sprouts, nachos, flatbread, etc. were all very tasty and we had a great time in our "snow globe". We are eager to go back and eat on the roof in the summer to enjoy the contrasting feel!

Ate in one of the igloos. The nachos and poutine was delicious. Innovative drinks, and just a fun experience. Highly recommend trying the igloo.
