Steak cheese dip, shrimp and grits and Friday fish fry were all delicious. Fun atmosphere!
No flavor on the shrimp and grits. Overpriced chicken add on for the gnocchi. It was thin and dry and there was hardly any given. Way to pricey for lukewarm flavorless food.
Nothing was terrible, but nothing was great either. We were literally the only table for the first half an hour we were there. Food was OK, but overpriced. Steak slightly overcooked, dry crusty potato and woody asparagus. Dry chicken, good green beans and sweet potato. Figs in a blanket were ok, but need some seasoning...maybe a drizzle of hot honey or something. Service was ok, not overly attentive or friendly. Cocktail Sip Happens should be named ocean water with how salty it is. Quality does not match price point. Nothing stood out here.
Food was ok. Will try again. Server was nice but once food was delivered, we never saw her again. We would have liked refills and more sauce on the chicken sandwich. Christmas bingo was fun too.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner at Culinary Underground! I brought family in from out of town. Some chose the traditional Turkey dinner, some chose steak, and some chose an awesome hamburger dinner. All shared their meals were delicious. I'll definitely be back!
They were packed due to a concert at the BMO but the staff did a pretty good job managing it. They were out of a couple beers and certain food items because they had another concert the previous night as well.
you want to write a comment? Our overall experience was not good. when you make a reservation and they tell you that there's a 40-minute wait when you get there, is unacceptable. The hostess had a serious chip on her shoulder. The food was not good. sitting in the bar area, once we got the attention of a waitress and figured things out with the high and mighty hostess,it was tolerable.
I like the decor and ambience. Our server was polite and attentive but a bit forgetful. The food was OK... I can see where they were going with it, but I think we got the B-team chef that night. I would definitely go back and try again... hopefully the kitchin will be more on their game.
We waited in line at the hostess stand for a good 5-10 minutes. I had my reservation confirmation I began to spell the name on the reservation after 2 letters the hostess rudely said she couldn't find the reservation on their end. She sat us anyways. We sat at our table for 20 minutes with servers passing by us and never stopping to address us. Several tables were seated after us and servers took their orders. We decided to just leave. On our way out I spoke to the manager and told him about our disappointing experience. He rudely and flippantly responded to me “ok”. We will never return and I will continue to share our negative experience with all friends and family and on social media.
Unique pleasing decor and well presented, tasty food choices. Noise level was a bit high, but the "no ceiling" setup contributes to that. It's a trade-off, because that makes the atmosphere so unique.

The restaurant is beautiful. However, the food selection was very limited. Our waiter was very comfortable and seemed very tiresome. He asked can he sit to take our order, and later in our visit came and sat down and shared his life issues. Of course this was my girls night out so we already were in deep girls conversation. He was very nice though. Just too comfortable sharing his opinion over the menu and his other occupation. When asked what he felt is good on the menu, he stated “nothing”. This was very disappointing as this was our first time visiting this establishment. Regrettably, the experience and limited food options made me give this rating. The dishes we did try were standard. I had better, and flavorful food at other bar places.
It was the worst, they were under staffed and they just kept seating people with only what looked like two servers. The hostess what very nice and took our order and brought our food. We had to go to the bar and grab our drinks as we saw the sitting waiting for pickup for some time. When the food finally came out, it was all cold and the burger looked like it had been cooked hours earlier and held. We left without eating. Worst dining experience in years!
Went for the first time today during the Lemonade Hop to grab some late lunch. Our server initially asked where we wanted to sit, and upon saying a booth, proceeded to give us one of the nastiest looks I've ever seen. The server continued to be less than hospitable through the entirety of the visit. I would understand if there was a rush, but it was us and one other party in the restaurant.
We ordered the cheese curds, the tower burger, and the chicken alfredo. The person I ate with said it was one of the best burgers she had ever had. The cheese curds were surprisingly good as well. The chicken alfredo left something to be desired. I ended up removing all of the chicken (soggy, awful flavor overall), and fixed the pasta to make it taste better at home. Towards the end we got a significantly more hospitable waitress to stop by for a bit, giving my rating for the service the 3 stars that it is.
Overall okay, but unsure if I will be returning.
Party of 8: 2 of the 3 pizzas were barely warm when they reached the table. One entrée a salad we had to ask where it was then took 20 minutes to come out. The waitress was barely seen to refill any drinks. When we got the bill she ran our card then realized she was suppose to add 20% tip to the bill. She canceled the transaction and ran it again. This was our first and last time eating here.
I felt grateful to have dined here.
