Best Chinese cuisine in the area. My family loves this restaurant.
China Palace is our #1 choice for Cantonese style food in Northern IL outside of Chicago. But even better, every single time we eat here or order carryout out we come away marveling at how pleasant and wonderful their staff is. They have really good food and great service. Highly recommend!

The China Palace is a restaurant with wonderful food, not too salty, with incredible taste and huge quantities. The customer service is amazing, and the staff asks questions about how things are done, like sauce separation and spiciness level. The traditional Mai Tai is among the best, and the egg rolls, general tso chicken, and crab Rangoon are very savory and perfectly fried. The crab ragoons and curry shrimp are some of the best. Each dish has its own distinctive flavor and smells. The building is very gorgeous with lots of antiques, and it is a piece of history for the area, having been in business for 46 years. It is definitely older looking, but the food is always consistently good. Portions are very good for the prices. However, the egg foo young is the worst, described as a bland pancake with very few vegetables and no seasoning. The restaurant offers sit-down service with the ability to serve drinks of choice.
