Let me just preface this by saying the prices here are egregious. Take the extra money, put it in your tank and drive to a better priced authentic restaurant. Maywood is the closest suburb for good Jamaican eats. Coming from a Caribbean herself.My mom and I came during lunch hour and purchased a two meat plate, an overpriced cold beef patty and an egg roll for almost $50. My local Jamaican spot is half the price and a million times better.A 45 minute wait during lunch hour is insanity. How do you expect working people to stroll in and enjoy a lunch special?This food taste NOTHING like Jamaica, makes you wonder who’s back there cooking the food.The RICE was the best thing on the plate and I had chicken and oxtail as well.Chicken was okay at best, at least it was fresh. The oxtail sucks and it’s the most expensive item.Patty and egg roll was good.These plantains (pictured) is the most disrespectful thing anyone has ever handed me. I can’t believe you looked at these and thought it was okay to serve.I’d rather drag my bare a** on concrete in July than to ever patronize this establishment ever again.

I would give the food 4 stars. We would definitely get it again. The jerk chicken was fresh and delicious, same goes for the rice and peas and plantains. We ate there, which we would not do again. The restaurant was nothing special and the rum punch was incredibly sweet and I don't think had much alcohol. Staff was nice. Order ahead and take it to go.

My husband and I dined in for dinner tonight. Overall it is a very good experience. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable for the portions. We had the jerk chicken, plantains and rice and peas. All very flavorful. The jerk sauce has really nice heat as well as the sauce that came with the plantains. The staff was all very friendly. It did take a little while, maybe 30 minutes to get our food, but it's a small establishment and had people picking up orders the whole time we were there, so the wait time made sense.

I didn't even know this place existed. I get tired of pizza, burgers, Chinese... Etc.My husband joked that we should get Caribbean food. I looked and was surprised there was Caribbean-ish food so close to us. The menu looked great, so we decided to order dinner.We each ordered the 2 meat/2 side dinner. The photo shown is half of my food. I had the white meat jerk chicken along with the chicken stew meat. It comes with 2 sides but I wanted to try their other sides so I ordered a couple extra. The white meat is an up-charge. The amount of food was very generous. We each only ate half of our food.I'm no Caribbean food expert but I know what tastes good, and this food tasted good. The chicken was tender and nicely seasoned. My husband got the jerk and fried chicken. He enjoyed the fried chicken as well. He said the yams were really good too. We each had Mac and cheese, pretty standard but good. I also had extra sides to try. I thought the rice was really good as was the Cabbage. The plantains were perfectly cooked too.I'm not sure if it's authentic or not, but I do know that the food is good. We both enjoyed it and will be back again.

Today was my first time trying. I must say it was delicious. I sat in my car just making back even more big. I ordered a dinner for 4. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. Cabbage and rice too. The Jamaican beef patty took me over the edge. Just wow wow. Highly recommend this place. Staff was friendly and nice, very attentive. My order was correct. Sauces were amazing. They are a hidden gym and they have been featured on the Food Network. Last but not least!!! Baby don’t forget the jerk egg rolls. Omg omg. Mouth watering. 10/10 I will be back. Go support local owned business!!

First time ever trying Jamaican food. I went on a date today and I took a gamble, which I’m happy I did. I was greeted by cleanliness, a smiling and knowledgeable host, and all the Rasta vibes you could get. Ordered the Ox tail with Mac and Cheese(7.2)and Yams. My beautiful date ordered their 6 piece jerk wings(8.9) with the spicy sauce(I forgot the name) and fries. As well as 2 Beef Patties. Both were so good and tasty, if you can’t handle heat tho don’t try those hot jerk wings and I mean that. The ox tail was delicious(8.7) but the yams(9.1)were my favorite(I mixed the spicy jerk sauce and gravy on the ox tails). The beef patty was a 8.7, needed just a bit more meat but who can complain. Order ahead, because everything is made from scratch, and it’s so worth it. One love!!!!!!!!
The Jerk Chicken is not real Jerk Chicken it's not flavorful very bland the oxtails don't taste like Jamaican no flavor bland bland oxtails. They really need to work on that and they need to work on the sides as well not real jerk I'm disappointed waste of money.
