We didn’t make reservations and there were plenty of open tables but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated (I think the young hostess lacked experience). We had the mussels, they were tasty but had 2 fishy tasting mussels (not bad for a whole plate). The waiter forgot that we ordered drinks and had to ask him about the drinks 10 minutes later. The short rib is tender and the halibut (fresh catch special) was very good.

Drinks are unique, food was great, staff is superb. We started with carpaccio, oysters, burrata, and table bread and had the steak, ono catch of the day, a chicken cream pasta, and the chocolate bourbon pecan pie. Loved the atmosphere too and need to try the speakeasy next time. Will definitely be returning more often.

Appetizer and Main Course was very good. Desserts were bad. I would avoid it. Crème Brulee was not at cold. Chocolate cake wasn’t great either. From a service standpoint - we had the person picking up plates waiting next to the table after picking up my son’s plate waiting next to my seat for me to finish. I found that very weird and did not finish my plate to my content.

The service was impeccable. The old fashioned was perfectly balanced. The chocolate, bourbon, pecan pie was just incredible. 10/10 would recommend.
One Word! FANTASTIC MENU ITEMS. Delicious daily specials & a chef that knows her stuff. Food served hot and prepared to your liking. We here chef just bought this resturant and is the current owner & madter chef! A classic wine listing that "pars" perfectly with her food creations. And those budget people watching the price, small plates available. Well Done 1913 Restaurant! Also great outdoor seating...shaded & nice out front.
Parking: Plenty of free street parking...no problem.

I don't know why they sat us outside on a hot humid day even though it was pretty empty other than the bar. We just went with it but it might have been our appearance as the heat and humidity of the day was brutal so if they want to flaunt us to everyone passing by then so be it. The train comes by every few minutes blasting its horns so that made conversation and the meal so pleasant. Well one order of seafood had three small pieces of fish medallions no bigger than a quarter with some shredded hamburger lettuce and half a grape. So that really filled up her belly to balance out the alcohol that dehydrated her since we are sitting outside on this hot humid day. I ended up just giving up my hamburger and fries as I just filled up on fancy sink water with all its cancer causing chemicals and all the exhaust that is trapped in the heat getting blown on us by the honking trains. Nothing like leaving a "fancy" restaurant so hungry that you end up going somewhere else to fill your hunger and have a quality time. So try the water and get a round of fancy (okay ingredients) burgers with fries for the table as everything else are appetizer sizes.
Dietary restrictions: You will definitely be on a diet eating here.
