Decided to try this place out after driving by many times. Went in for a late lunch, Great Service, food was great and the portions are huge. Wife had chicken tacos, I had combo #2, huge! The chips and salsa were great, and surprised by also getting a dessert with the meal. I’ll definitely be back!

The rudeness of the host was terrible!! My uncle asked a question and how this rude host answered with no such regards to my uncle and his age was uncalled for! On top of this unprofessional rudeness, we waited over an hour for our food while 2 separate groups of people showed up after us and got their orders before us!! By the time we got our food it was cold, flavorless and our appetite wasn't as before the long wait. This host NEVER acknowledged us calling for him to ask for napkins or "to go" plates. He just stood at his podium acting like he didn't hear us. We had no choice but to ask the bus boy instead. This man really needs to know how to leave the attitude at home and learn better people skills since it wasn't shown to me nor my uncle! Worst 1st time there and last!

This is not really a Mexican food place! Tacos are not good! The meat on asada tacos is very greasy and hard to bite. I asked for Bisteck a la Mexicana, but in reality, they served me beef fajitas with tomato sauce, not even a spicy sauce but more like ketchup - That let you know that the cooker is not Mexican or they are too cheap to prepare a real sauce. It is not just me, all guests complained about the quality of the food. The other thing is that they are looking to remove your plate from the table very often, so one feels like they are asking you to leave. For a bar, it is probably a good place located in a nice area.

Kid-friendliness: It is mainly a bar, so I will mot take my children there. However, I saw two families with kids there. But there is no recreation room or any kids amenities, so.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are some ramps, but the main entrance door is fully manual, so you could require some assistance.

This place is fantastic. The family who runs it is beyond nice....but food trumps all and yes, it is killer. Live music somedays. And you can never forget the banana, fried banana they bring last. My whole week is satisfied, oh and did i mention the Margaritas? You'll end up going back just for those!

This is a mixed professional review. I will preface by saying that if you dine in, I'm pretty sure you'll have a great experience. The food here can be absolutely top notch. The experiences I've had both with family and coworkers while in house was amongst the best I've had around in and out of Chicago. However my stars being removed are due to my take out experiences, which is my usual at this place.

The cons are such: I am a "taco snob", these are hit or miss some of the best tacos in the entire Chicagoland area - asada, pastor & carnitas are wonderful. Unfortunately, I've had several to-go orders messed up, with them putting unwanted cheese on the tacos. After a couple messed up orders, I called to tell them of the mistake. They are very nice and assured me they would compensate me the next time I ordered, even when I told them it may be a while. Two months later (yesterday), I called to order and mentioned the aforementioned SNAFU. I was told they had no recollection and no such list - I didn't argue as I still ate the previous meal and it was still good, although not what I ordered. I ordered a taco meal with an extra salsa (their salsa is quite spicy for most but I love it) - they compensated me for the salsa - ok...

If all was well I wouldn't be leaving this review but it was not. While they got the tacos right, the salsa they gave me (which I was looking so forward to for home use the next few days) was absolutely NASTY! It has that rancid 5+ day old taste; Cannot believe they would serve this, especially to someone who they know (or were informed) they messed up on before!

I want to love this place but I cannot, I don't know that I will give them another chance after this but if I do - they may be sacrificed to the 1 star rating...

Good luck, dine in!
