“Another fantastic tiki experience in the Chicago area. This bar is not to be overlooked.Entering the bar is a time warp. The bar has been open since 1964 and likely still reflects a lot of the original charms that made it so popular during the tiki craze era.The main bar is a thatched hut with a backdrop of every rum you can imagine. The drink menu was impressive, easily over 50 options, not including great pages of mocktails and other non tiki style beverages. For the rum aficionados, ask for the rum list. It is extensive and relatively reasonably priced. Both drinks I had, the bar pilot, and namesake hala kahiki, were fantastic. All in all, a wonderful night out in Chicago, and shout-out to Curtis our great bartender.5/5 will be back ASAP!“
“Came here tonight with my family and I was not disappointed! The drinks were amazing and the food was incredible! My niece got the virgin shark and it was so good for a mocktail! The atmosphere is so cool. It really fits the theme of a true tiki bar which I love! Definitely more of an adult atmosphere however they do allow kids until 8pm. There is gratuity of party’s of 4 more but they mention that on the back of the menu AND circle it on the bottom of the receipt so you can’t miss it which I appreciate! We came in around 5:45 and the place was packed so I suggest a reservation.. The only thing I will say is we were sitting next too these 2 women with their 4 kids who were just so loud, running around, and jumping up and down on the chairs which was a little distracting while we were trying to enjoy our time, however, can’t really blame the restaurant for that. Overall this place is great and I would highly suggest it!“
“Came in on a wimb. So glad we did. My new fav place. Drinks amazing. Katie amazing. Everything was great and can't wait to come back for the Elvis event with all my friends on Jan. 20. Get a group together and come for a good time. You will be glad you did.“
“What a great night out! Beautiful ambience. Cocktails were delicious and on theme. There were some kids acting out next to us, the moms didn’t seem to care much about them climbing on chairs, bumping into my chair and yelling. I’m a parent and was really looking forward to kid free night. Next time I’ll come out later in hopes to avoid that. Service was wonderful, Darek was very attentive and kind. Thanks for a fun local night!!“
“We have gone her so many times. This place never disappoints us. The ladies are super nice. Food is served fast. They also pack the left overs for you. They also have vegetarian options. They have these super delicious almond cookies they give along with the fortune cookies.Thr decorations inside are unique and give a nice cozy look.Occasionally there are free music shows. One night there was Rod Stewart. We didn’t know about him, but we checked later. He is a celebrity of sorts.“
“This place is fantastic! The atmosphere transports you to the perfect tropical getaway, and the staff’s contribution to those pleasant vibes is unmatched. Every person I encountered here was friendly, welcoming, and personable. Trever was my favorite! The drinks are also PHENOMENAL. I’ve come back several times since my first visit and constantly recommend Pete’s Tiki Tiki to anyone I can. Definitely check it out!“
