My husband went to county market yesterday with a check for $100 and he bought groceries and was given change like normal. The cashier did not look at the amount of the check and did not know or tell us that you cannot write a check for over $20 of the initial purchase. Today at 4:30pm I get a call saying they want their money back because their cashier messed up and they don’t take checks over $20 of the amount due. I have never had this issue at any other grocery store and I returned the money as well but I will not be returning with my business.
