All I can say is wow! Do not be fooled by the restaurant facade. As you enter the front door you are transported to a warm inviting hacienda. The decor and lighting, soft music and aromas draw you in. All the the furniture and tables are custom made. The menu is vast and will challenge you to only select one meal, but you’ll wish you could eat two or three! The service is fabulous. The food is creative, authentic, beautifully presented and generous portions.
So, if you’re in or near Salem, Illinois, be sure to stop by El Rancherito Restaurant. I ordered the Pollo Sinaloa and my husband had the Grande Burrito with steak. Delicious! Make sure to come hungry and bring friends so you can try more dishes. Thank you for your hospitality ☺️

Our favorite place to eat! Beautiful atmosphere with booths or large party tables. Great staff and service. Highly recommend this place!

It's absolutely my favorite place to eat Mexican food! If you want to eat there or order it to bring home, it's always delicious and hot! Everyone is friendly and your order is made quickly even if they are super busy.
