Went Sunday Morning 10-29-23 not very busy food was good service was very poor order coffee to drink never received a refill. There was no Jelly for your toast. The waitresses was more concerned about standing around the coffee pot than serving customers.

I ordered the catfish special. It was perfect. The green beans and mashed potatoes and brown gravy was as well.Our waitress Charlene was just the sweetest, as was the other ladies.Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Very enjoyable.Thank you. My wife and I selected Sharon’s Cafe because it had good reviews and we like to visit local businesses when possible. It’s not often that this policy goes awry, but in this case it just wasn’t a good experience. Sharon’s was busy on this Sunday at noon, but we were seated promptly. The Sunday menu was extremely limited - Pepper Steak, Fried Chicken, or Pork Shops, along with 2 sides. We both ordered the fried chicken. Why not, right? It’s a Sunday lunch, and with that limited menu, how long could it take? Well, 20 minutes after we ordered, our server came over to report that they were out of chicken. Really? It took 20 minutes to realize this? The good news, the server reported, was that chicken strips or country fried steak were now available. I ordered the CFS. My wife ordered the chicken strips. About 15 minutes later, our orders came. My country fried steak was just fair. I’m not a big pepper user, but I made an exception to give it some flavor. My wife’s chicken strips were fresh out of the frozen foods box they came in from Walmart. She also had a side called chocolate fluff. It was some kind of marshmallow mixed with chocolate syrup concoction that was a little too slimy. Weird stuff. The service was good to start, but faded during the experience. When our food was brought to the table, so was the check. I never take that as a good sign. Indeed, we had to flag down a server to get a drink refill. Although pie was on the dessert menu, we were never asked if we wanted any. Long and short, I hope Sharon’s Cafe gets its act together. I think the staff there are well-intentioned, but Sharon needs some help and experienced advice in running the restaurant with her name on it.
