We were driving through and saw a faded sign. We wanted to have a unique experience but all we found was blah. The restaurant area was clean but large maybe a little too large as the building overshadowed the tables. It felt a little cold and not cozy. A lot of people were going for the Taco bar and in hindsight, I should have gotten it. We got fettuccine Alfredo, chopped steak, and a hamburger. I would say the food was good, not great. Our waitress was gone for long periods of time and my husband never got the ketchup until late in the meal. We had to hunt down our waitress to ask for the bill. There was another waitress near us who wasn't really working because she was so distracted by playing with a baby while the baby's family was trying to eat.I think this place might have an identity crisis because you don't see the name Whiskey Outlaw anywhere, but you see Landers Iron Horse. Are you a bar, horse dealer, or restaurant? Pick something and do it really well!

Spaghetti was amazing, but my husband said the pork steak was a little dry. Cowboy beans were yummy!!!!Kid-friendliness: Kid meals are decently priced and you get a fair amount of food, but be warned...no chocolate milk, just white.

I love this place. I was there most recently for our Salem Chamber of Commerce luncheon. They have a great area for parties, live music on the weekends, a mechanical bull. Great food, large portions and great prices. I highly recommend. It is located at the Iron Saddle Ranch in Salem, Illinois.

This place is what dreams are made of! My family and I drove through this town a couple weeks ago on our way home to WI and stopped here. The service was great and everyone was friendly. They have a fun shop in there with cute clothing, and it was fun to hang outside and watch the longhorns (they also have different games and a electronic bull)Most importantly the food! I had the smothered chicken(that comes over rice and with 2 sides) I had the green beans with bacon and the fries. The helpings are huge, and the food is tasty! I tip my hat to whoever created the cheese sauce on the chicken (that I also got on the side for my fries, as I didn’t know they were the same thing) I could eat that stuff all day. I’m so sad I live so far away. So good

So, my coworker and I were passing through the area heading home from a business trip, and saw them on Google, and decided to drop by. Signage for where you eat is pretty much non-existent, but the staff were kind enough to point us in the right direction. I'm not sure if there's actually two restaurants here, or if it's been renamed, or if it was because they were having a rodeo and decided to do a limited menu, but the menu we got wasn't what is shown online. We still went ahead and ordered, just to see how it was. We ordered the chorizo nachos as an appetizer, which were basically tortilla chips with some lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, and a simple Rotel cheese sauce with some chorizo mixed in. Nothing fancy, still tasty, but a bit underwhelming for the price. For our meal we ordered their smoked bologna sandwich with fries and a thing of jalapenos on the side. This bologna was amazing, and I'm pretty sure either made in house or locally. It comes on a potato bun they brand, and has fried onions, an awesome in house slaw that was great, and a sauce that's pretty good, and a slice of cheese. I removed the slaw and ate that by itself and put the jalapenos on instead, and it was delicious. The fries were great, and well seasoned with salt and pepper, which made me happy, especially since it was only like $13 per playe. My coworker also got a cocktail, and said it was great too. We were both stuffed, so the size is very misleading and is super filling. Food was great, staff was awesome, so the only complaint I have is that it needs better signage to direct you, or at least a better layout, and clarification as to what all is going on with the menu.

Fun atmosphere, very good food and great service. The live music was kinda loud (so I guess I'm too old), but we sat in an area that was quieter. The flies were a bit bothersome, with the rodeo setup and cows outside probably contributing to that.
