Celeabrated my grandsons birthday. It was his 1st time dining here. He truly enjoyed the experience. The chef really made him feel special. We will be back!

We haven't come here for years. The service tonight was not as great as it normally is. And I am speaking about our server who was good not great. He seemed kind of angry throughout the evening as he waited on our table. The chef was not as great as we had in the past. I had an issue with him with what I thought was cross-contamination and he was rude about it. Also made a couple requests that he forgot . The shrimp seems to be different than what we've had in the past so hopefully that was just a temporary change. For me having an over $400 bill I don't feel it was worth it this visit.

My date and I had a wonderful dining experience at Benihana in Schaumburg, but I was frustrated by a promotional issue. When I made our reservation on OpenTable, I was offered the $39 Taste of Benihana special and noted my interest in the reservation. After being seated at a hibachi table, our server, Mimi, informed us that the special was only available in the bar. This was a disappointing surprise, as I would have been embarrassed to ask my date to move from our table to the bar area. My guest was very happy with her seat and the meal, but I believe this practice is misleading and unethical. This felt like a "bait and switch," and it soured what was otherwise a great evening.

Food was good, I wouldn't mind the expensive prices if the experience was better, all the chefs are doing the exact same Cookie cutter routine, no interaction with the guests at all. If I'm paying all this money ($200+ for 2 adult and 2 kids) I expected a lot more of a show. I've seen other places where the chefs are joking around and interacting doing cool tricks and I felt ripped off by seeing the chef at the table behind us do his "routine" than our chef do the exact same thing. Overall food was good but not worth the money in my opinion. Wouldn't recommend. More than likely will not be going back.

We had a new chef, he insisted in giving me the lobster shell when I told him to keep it when he took it off the grill . Also was cooking the raw scallops too close to the already cooked shrimp.. I was worried about cross contamination, but I don't think he understood what I was telling him. But the service was good and the food was decent but expensive

Food was yummy and service very good. Our chef only performed the minimum and not entertaining so we missed out on the excitement (no cheers no food throwing/catching etc). Only lit the volcano and heart pump. But, the food tasted very good. My filet had some gristle so he even had a tough time cutting those areas but everyone else's filets were good. Great fried rice as usual!

Wonderful place for a celebration! We had great service and the food was delicious. The kids love to see the chef perform the tricks and we're entertained the whole time.

My visit at Benihana was exceptional. We were a table of 10 celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday and from the moment we entered, the service, attention, and ambiance was great. My 9yr old son even gave our chef Carlos a tip, from his own money! This gesture encouraged me to add more money to the tip. Our hostess Julie was simply amazing! We were also able to bring in our own birthday cake. We will definitely be back for future visits.

Our waitress was amazing! But the food was edible but but bland, tough and not worth $250 bill. I've been to other hibachi grills that were way better. Seems to be you pay for the bake at Benihana's rather than quality food.

Wonderful service and entertaining and delicious food prepared by our chef. He made the dinner so enjoyable

Food was great, as usual. Chef was friendly, entertaining and professional, but he did not perform as many funny antics as we are accustomed to at Benihana.

Always a great time at Benihana. Wonderful service. Waiting area was crowded because the reservations were running behind. Perhaps it would be helpful to limit tables to 1 1/2 hours so that people can get seated in a timely way.

First time going on a Sunday for lunch. We went at an off time being 2pm so it wasn't busy. Our server was a little pushy and or just seemed to be in an over all rush. Our salads came out later than everyone else's and the soup tasted very off, as if it was the bottom of the barrel/old. The cook was good, but you could tell he didn't want to be there. I noticed he had different tricks than I had seen in the past - this was a positive. However, he did cook the items differently, from the way he cut the veggies to seasoning, lack of flavor. I know a gentleman at our table made the comment he, "does not like sesame seeds" - odd thing to share in the middle of cooking and while others are joining you, but I wonder if that impacted the chef. Manager on duty was very helpful when it came time to closing out my check as I had several promotional gift cards that needed to be manually entered. She was swift and polite. I asked for a to go cup for my ice tea as I only drank half of my first one and they brought me a second one. The Bartender was very kind and friendly as I felt more comfortable asking him for a to go cup over our server.
