Honestly this was the worse one i've been to, dingy inside, rude Male hostess, gave wrong information to us regarding ordering at the table. The only thing good was our chef Abram!! Excellent chef, funny, interactive and made the night! Really out standing Shushi but for $400.00 we could have eaten somewhere else like kings. we left hungry and went somewhere else for food. the Chicken was dry and tasteless, never again at this place. bathrooms were dirty and the female table lady was like a used sales car person trying to upsell and ushing the drinks. all in all, would not recommend this location.

I've had way better hibachi for a lot cheaper. Just wasn't worth it for me.

Due to illness, I do not get out much but I had the fabulous experience at benihana. I had a little bit of difficulty at the front where you check in but that was quickly rectified by Juan Carlos, the manager. I actually saw him helping out the servers, helping out the cooks and checking on all the tables making sure no one needed anything. The food was absolutely delicious my server was wonderful. I'm sorry I don't remember that young man's name as he was friendly, happy and gave me good choices to pick from. He served me on 02/07/26, appropriately 1pm and I believe I sat at one of the three or four tables which they called either the bar or a lounge area. My server was actually serving the main dining room as well but made sure I did not have to wait for anything. if you go to a benihana, go to the one in Schaumburg. Everything was fantastic and Juan Carlos you made my outing even more fantastic. Management, you have a great manager and staff and thank you!

We had 6 adults and 4 kids (3 under 3) in our party. I don’t feel like the quality of the food or the service, was worth the over $700.00 we paid. It’s definitely overpriced in my opinion. The chef wasn’t very interactive and the service was slow.

We made a reservation for 2 people for 7:30pm. We arrived on time and checked in at the host stand only to be told that it would be a 40 minute wait. What is the point of making a reservation? We sat at the bar ordered our 15$ drinks that were served in dirty glasses. We decided to leave at this point to save ourselves more disappointment. We asked the hostess why such a long wait even with reservation. She said it’s always like that on the weekends and if you wish to be seated right away come before 4:30 or on a weekday. No thanks. We won’t be back. Do better

Easily the worst hibachi I’ve ever had. The service was horrible and misleading. Wholly overpriced. I ordered chicken hibachi and was told it was a meal and that it came with soup and salad. All I got was a small side of fried rice and had to pay extra for soup and didn’t get salad. Paid $12 for unsalted edamame. Save your money, you’d be better off ordering take out or just cooking at home.
Edit:
Also everyone else at the table was offered dessert but my partner and I and when we asked for the check our waiter straight up said no and we had to sit and wait for everyone to finish their ice cream before we could pay. Also be prepared to get friendly with the people at your table. We were both brushing knees with the people next to us and had maybe a foot of table room. Don’t waste your money here this was truly a horrible experience.

Easily the best Benihana in the Chicagoland area I’m a member with the friends with benefits reward, and they were able to compensate me with my birthday account even though I couldn’t get the number( on friend with benefits end) the manager was so kind, came to me and honored the discount…and Dolly the waitress was absolutely the best I’ve ever had I can’t wait to come back. I would love to have her as my waitress again and of course a given the food was fantastic. Also, never forget to try the green tea ice cream thanks again, Benihana Schaumburg, and to Dolly and the manager, staff and chef! They even charged my phone!!! 💙💙💙💙

BEWARE OF JUAN THE MANAGER DISGUSTING We had a reservation for five people and arrived during a snowstorm. One person in our party was running behind, and at first we thought they might not make it, so we told the host they were no longer coming. After we were seated, we found out they actually were on their way, just delayed.
Within that time, we ordered sushi and appetizers and waited about 40 minutes for them. While we were still waiting, our waitress suddenly told us we had been sitting there for 45 minutes and that they could not “hold” the table anymore unless we ordered our full meals immediately. We were basically pressured into placing everyone’s entrée order, including for the person who had not even arrived yet.
When the chef finally came to the table, we were shocked that we were not allowed to make any additional requests or adjustments. At other Benihana locations, you are normally allowed to order extras through the chef or have the waitress run back for things like extra rice or sides. None of that was offered here, even though the restaurant was almost completely empty.
The food itself was either undercooked or overcooked and honestly tasted bad. For the price, this was unacceptable.
The worst part was the staff. The manager had an awful attitude and was extremely unprofessional. It felt like trying to have a conversation with a child. Our waitress was also rude and dismissive.
We came to celebrate my niece’s birthday, and only one staff member acknowledged it. No special effort, no energy, nothing. It was sad and completely killed the mood for everyone at the table.
We left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and disappointed. This was nowhere near the Benihana experience we are used to, and we will not be returning.

We arrived a bit early while waiting for our friends and table, so we grabbed drinks at the bar. I ordered the “Perfectly Piña Colada” (or something close 😄) and it was delicious. We were seated right on time. The table toward the back near the window was pretty cold for the first 10–15 minutes, but once the fans were turned off and the grill got going, everything warmed up quickly. From that point on, it was exactly what you want from a Benihana experience and more. The chef's show was fun, the atmosphere was lively, and the food had that signature hibachi flavor you just can't recreate at home or with store-bought options. Our friends were first-timers and left with nothing but great things to say and big smiles. We'd absolutely go back.
