It's sad to see how the company literally controls the amount they give you per your order. I had recently asked for a sample of the soup. The server overserved the sample by a teaspoon or a tablespoon. He quickly dumped it back into the pot. Later, as I proceeded in the cuing line, the cashier noticed the soup was in the ceramic bowl instead of the paper bowl And went to dump it back into the general pot even though we were dining inside. It shouldn't have made a difference. Me and other customers around me were shocked to see that and disgusted. There was no reason to dump it back.He could have simply just gave it to me as is but didn't even ask me
Although the food is delicious and healthy, they really do train and scare their employees to be really skimpy. Unfortunately, that's how chain restaurants are.
We've lost the mom and pop hospitality
I'll continue to support local businesses and avoid going to chain restaurants

I absolutely LOVE coming to eat at Cafe Zupas! The food is fresh and healthy and it’s one of my top 3 favorite places. JC the manager is so sweet and very good at his job. When JC is there, things run like a well oiled machine. He welcomes his customers in every day and treats them like they are family. He truly is a one of a kind manager and he is very professional! Can’t wait for my next meal at Zupas!

Food was really delicious and also healthy (I got the chicken enchilada chili and I will be having it again 100%). Left feeling full but refreshed and energized! Cool energy and definitely recommend to anyone trying to get some yummy, feel good grub.

Seems to be a consistent issue that the servers prioritize to go orders over customers who come in person. I was one of only 3 people in the whole place and stood for many minutes while watching the gentleman make salads for what had to be to go orders. I was never greeted or addressed and finally just left. There was no one else in line. He didn’t even make eye contact. Good luck getting served here.

Every time I come here I order 30-40 mins in advance but I always have to wait for them to finish my order. But this was my end point what’s the point of ordering 40 mins in advance just to wait 30 minutes in the store to finish the food I’m not trying to spend the night everytime I come over here I’m writing this review right now inside the store because there is 7 people on the line and 7 people doing nothing

If I could rate this location -100 stars I would. It surprises me how hard it is to get an order right 10 times in a row. Whether it is order online or you stay in line and ask what you want. Last 4-5 orders online seems to be impossible to get a salad with removing 1 ingredient right. So I went in today and asked to remove 1 ingredient and shake the fresh herb vinaigrette dressing well, because all I get is a tub of oil 10/10 times I get a salad. I give up, this location is the worst.

I was staying in Schaumburg on a business trip and felt for something light. Googled restaurants serving soup and salads and found this gem of a restaurant, which was exactly what the doctor ordered. Healthy food served with a smile. The staff is courteous and friendly. Lots of soups and salads to choose from. I will be visiting Schaumburg again in Sept 2025, and I will definitely return to Cafe Zupas again. Which if I had one of these restaurant where I live.
**Update AUG 27, 2025** Was staying in Schaumburg again for business and felt for soup and salad for dinner. Only one place came to mind and that is Cafe Zupas. Again, this place did not disappoint. Picked up soups, salad and cheesecake for dessert. Took some new pictures to share.
